Picked up a few cake slices for a birthday treat and was not disappointed! The flavors (and the combinations) and texture of the cakes were really well done. Dense but light/fluffy, not overly sweet yet still had strong flavor. I was worried they might be dry because sometimes these fancy cakes at other places look good but are dry and crusty. These were far from dry! They had so many unique cakes to choose from it was hard to decide😅 Will definitely be back to try more!

Oh and the sourdough loaf is the most perfect soft and fluffy bread I've ever had! Only thing is they don't do bread slicing which sucks for me with my poor cutting skills, but I'll make it work😂

Was craving for chocolate, so I got a slice of chocolate earl gray. It had a different taste (weird), not to my liking. Then I got the decadent cake, which was okayish.. Overall, I thought it was pricy, as I've had better cakes.

this place is AMAZINGGGGG!!! this actually satisfied my cake cravings so well and literally everything was such special treat.

the salted caramel cake was perfectly made—the vanilla cake was moist, soft, and the perfect base. generously separating each layer was this incredibly fluffy and light cream that wasn’t too sweet or salty, which was perfect for me because i honestly don’t even like caramel that much! despite that, i really enjoyed the caramel injection because it was such a nice punch of flavour between the light layers of cake and cream.
the earl gray cake was also amazing, with a very subtle fruity and flowery taste.
the cakes are seriously SO FLUFFY and HAD THE PERFECT MOIST TEXTURE I CANT EVEN. but make sure you bring some milk or water because it can get a bit sweet in the end !

the chunky monkey was also so special, unique, and delectable. the solid texture wasn’t what i was expecting (the top part is a bit tough), but it was still perfect and easy to cut through with a fork. a bit hard to describe the mouthfeel honestly, but it was kind of like a bunch of doughy, dense, pastry insides crammed together. maybe that doesn’t sound appetizing but trust me it was AMAZING. the banana flavour was strong and perfectly paired with the sweet chocolate.

the mini chocolate decadence was also great, and the perfect size because it was sweeter than the other cakes—but it shared the same light, fluffy cream and moist cake.

even the savoury food was incredible, which i was honestly surprised by! the focaccia bread was perfectly toasted, crispy and warm, while also being super fluffy. the melted cheese had the toastiest, enticing aroma that you just couldn’t resist, and even the arugula paired so well with the saltiness of the rest of the ingredients.

i definitely want to return to trafiq again and try other unique cake flavours in the future!!!!!

I stumbled in here for coffee which was excellent, but I saw them assembling sandwiches and knew I needed to return. The chicken club sandwich is easily among the best I've had in the city. I cannot recommend this sandwich highly enough, it's a thing of beauty

I ordered the matcha cherry cake, it was pretty good! The sweetness was perfect (my taste not too sweet), and the moist, soft texture was just right. It’s a small shop, so there isn’t much space and the tables are really close to each other. Definitely come back to try other cakes 🍰 !

Trafiq is a true neighbourhood classic! I always stop in when I want a slice of cake - which are always super tasty and moist. My favourite is the homage to earl grey, it never disappoints. I also really like the chocolate brĂ»lĂ©e cake! I’ve also tried their newer cakes, which can be a hit or miss, dependant on everyone’s individual tastes I suppose.
I just ordered a blueberry lemon cake and for some reason it tasted like big mac sauce? Condiments? This cake was ordered to celebrate 2 birthdays and everyone at the table was very confused. My bad for not coming in for a slice first before ordering an entire cake! Some adjusted to the taste saying eventually it tasted as intended while others said they couldn’t taste the blueberry, and me only tasting ketchup! Sadly we could not keep the rest of the cake as it made me ill. Although this cake was a pretty big disappointment (considering the cost and how many of us didn’t love it) we were happy with the single slice of Rose raspberry lychee which was a big hit! All of us shared it and everyone loved it. Again, everyone’s taste is different and I’ve learned to buy a slice to try before buying a whole cake next time.

Place that my daughter loves to get her cake from.

Ordered 10” Blueberry Lemon cake that was moist, tart and not too sweet.

Street parking available with meter parking. Pending when you go, it is an area that not only locals but around the city including myself that make the trip to order from because it is worth it for finding a parking spot.

I finally understand the hype! The best classic hot chocolate in the neighborhood. The BEC focaccia is amazing! Chocolate cake and oreo cakes are my fave flavors for the mini cakes. Ill definitely come again to try other sandwiches and cake. Highly recommend this place.

I like the atmosphere here, and the staff are friendly. They also serve good coffee and delicious cake. I recommend trying the chunky monkey. The best!

This small bakery is nicely furnished, but perhaps a little too crowded with tables and chairs, so that the atmosphere is a little cramped. The service is very friendly and courteous. But now let's move on to the cakes. They are beautifully decorated. The taste is fresh and harmoniously balanced. Fruits come out. In terms of craftsmanship. However, it is kept very simple. I come from a country where, if you want to sell cakes, you have to complete years of training as a pastry chef. But all in all, this bakery is still one of the better ones in Vancouver.

Visited for the hot chocolate festival. Never been here before and I got the ube cinnamon and the black forest. Both were great. The chocolate cherry cookie was delicious and great to dip in the drink. The chocolate was rich and cherry flavored. Black forest is my favorite cake flavor so I was excited to try a hot chocolate in the flavor. I enjoyed the ube shortbread and was also good to dip in. The chocolate was unique and the ube flavor shined.

Staff are super friendly and service was great. I went on a weekday and it was not busy at all. The seating is cozy and brings a cafe vibe. I have passed this place many times before but never realized it was a bakery. I will have to come back as their cakes and other cookies look yummy and they also have sandwiches which I want to try.
