We’ve been going to Trafiq for a few years now and the experience is always exceptional. The staff are lovely, attentive, and on top of basic things like clearing tables and pushing in unoccupied chairs. These are small details, but they do set it apart from the experience at other cafes on Main Street. We’ve even seen the owner conducting interviews a few times while seated nearby, and it’s clear they take hiring the right staff with the right attitude seriously. Also, while many see this place as focused on cakes and baked goods, I have to mention how good the sandwiches and brunch/lunch options are! I’m always looking for a good sandwich and Trafiq has a great variety and is happy to modify as needed.

This is the place we go when we are sad and when we are happy. It's not just about the delicious sandwiches or deserts but everything happening in here. Lovely owner, lovely staff and delicious food and sweets.

Tried the chocolate brûlée cake and it was beautifully made with very tasty layers of cream and mousse. The flavours worked really well together. The presentation of the cake was gorgeous. The only thing that could have improved was the actual chocolate cake part, which in our cake was quite dry and comparable to an overcooked muffin in texture. Other than that, it was a great, high quality cake.

I first visited Trafiq over 10 years ago and instantly fell in love with their cakes — they’re so delicious and incredibly moist! You really can’t go wrong with any of their flavours — from salted caramel to earl grey to blueberry lemon, every one is amazing.
Though I hadn’t been in a while, I recently came back to sample some flavours for my engagement party, and I’m happy to say they’re just as good as I remember! The service is really excellent, and the owners are so kind and friendly. Their prices are very fair, portions are generous compared to other bakeries and cafés in Vancouver, and the quality is truly unmatched.
Can’t wait to come back again and try more flavours for the wedding cake! 💕

Honestly, it’s not worth the price. The desserts are good, but not for what they cost. Out of all the cakes they advertise, there were only two options available, so there was no way to get a better idea of the rest. I do have to highlight that the service is really good, friendly and fast.

So good we came two days in a row once we tried it. I love the mini cake slices which were perfect for our birthday party treats. We also stayed to enjoy a sandwich and have never had such fluffy bread. It was amazing.
I have been coming here for years and it’s one of the best places to get a cake in the city.

The cakes at Trafiq are amazing. I especially love the lemon blueberry cake. It is light, tart and delicate. If you have a discerning palate and like high quality cakes, this is the place for you.
