I ate rice noodles, chicken curry, and naan. Both were very delicious.
The person in charge of the table at the restaurant was also a nice person.

Honestly I feel like the current rating on Google doesn’t not reflect the food. The food was really tasty and filling, if you’re looking for Malaysian or SEA style dishes this is an amazing spot. My one gripe was the service, our server was great but he was the only one working there… so trying to get something took a bit longer that I’d like.

Estle of Malaysian food in Vancouver. We’ve been coming here for years. The food is fresh and authentic. If you want spicy, they can make it as spicy as you want, but the flavours are authentic as well. Today we had the eggplant and stirfry vegetables as well as Singapore fried vermicelli. A quick meal but delicious. The menu is extensive and include all the favs like laksa (only for lunch), roti, curry rendang, etc. come often.

Almost everything on menu was $20+ when it's just mediocre food. Service was bad.
Wouldn't let us split the bills between all 8 people at the table, saying "We are very busy right now and don't have the time. We can only split the bills into 4 parts at most," when the restaurant was half empty the entire hour we were there.
We had to get our own water which was fine. But then they charged tip on bill cause our group was big. For what? You only brought us our food and wouldn't even let us pay our bills properly and you expect mandatory tip?
This will be my first and last time dining here. But hey, at least you got that tip money from us ?

I visited for lunch with a friend around 12:00 on a weekday. It's about a 10-minute walk from Broadway City Hall Station, and there's a bus stop nearby, so it's easy to get to. Since it was a weekday lunch, there was no need to make a reservation, and the place was empty. I think you can enjoy a wide range of events, from casual events to large events.
I ordered Malaysian Special Fried Rice and Hainanese Chicken Rice. The fried rice was spicy, but the chicken was mild, so it went well with it. You can change the flavor of Chicken Rice to your liking, but it seemed like there were a lot of bones. The portions are filling, and they also serve other Southeast Asian dishes such as Indonesian, Singaporean, and Thai, so sharing is recommended.

I really had high hopes for this place as I hear about it from many people and how amazing it is, but the truth is that this place may just get by on its historic name. The food was mediocre. The roti was chewy but looked charred so my guess it was refrigerated and then warmed up again. The green beans were ok. The curry lamb was tasty but all the meat was loaded with fat. The noodles I had with calamari was the winner; so much flavour and a generous serving; my only critique on the noodles dish is that the calamari was over cooked and rubbery. The prices on this place are disgustingly overpriced; my green beans dish was $21. That is ridiculous! Our waiter was really friendly but I have to say that the co-owner was a bit rude. The co-owner brought the tab and the debit machine and so I get my card out and as he approaches me my wife asks me something so i turn to her to answer her and then the guy makes an abrupt turn and leaves me there. He did not ask if I was ready to pay, or if I wanted more water or more time…he just left. Not exactly good customer service.Overall I wouldn’t recommend this place. I would suggest The Banana Leaf for good Malaysian food at decent prices.

Rendang wasn’t rendered. The curry was too loose around the beef and the beef… the cuts were too fatty. Should use a brisket for this dish ideally. Then the green curry chicken… mystery meat. Low grade meat for this price. Roti canai were dry. Lifeless. No love in this meal. Last time I’m there. Used to love coming here. Sad. Gone downhill. Pricey yet problems in the kitchen.

Childhood memory. Service is ok not super friendly but it’s normal as most HK restaurants service are similar to the Vietnamese service. This is their culture. I like their interior design and atmosphere. The portion is very small.I ordered Thai chicken feet and half of the plate is lettuce. Wont order this dish anymore.
