My biggest reason writing this review is actually the service. Or the lack of.
I've ordered their pie (aka personal pizza) the first time no one cut it just handed it heated to me as is. When I asked if THEY could cut it I was handed a plastic knife. The second time I came for the same, I asked them to cut it. They actually did.
There's very little emotion around here. I asked about ingredients in a cookie and one of them answered. Being hearing impaired I didn't catch it and asked again. I was simply told oh she already answered you. (So I had to ask again)
Waiting to order a cookie. The guy today was making a latte and he had absolutely no smile just went through the motion of making the drink and handed it to the guy. No "enjoy" no nothing.
The mood is very dull. The place looks amazing. But the people that work here are all so mopey. And they are always on their phones. Weird.
The food is great. The service is bare minimum. Prices are great. Just wish there was more lively feeling from the staff.
Smiles are free. Another reviewer on Google said it might be tip related. Funny thing is. I’d tip if the place made me smile. But the energy of the staff… you enter ready to start the day and leave wondering where all your energy went.

Achee patchy
The shorter girl working there yesterday evening made me the wrong order, but I had to catch my bus and couldn’t get it remade. Her service was really impersonal. Didn’t offer any suggestions, or alternatives. Just seemed to want to get back to talking to a taller guy in a hat that was working with her. The drink itself was instant coffee tier. Would not recommend.

TRU Cafe offers a cozy vibe with excellent teas brewed just right. The royboosi tea was fragrant and flavorful. Great spot for a relaxing tea break!

This is amazing if you know nothing about European coffee culture. This is the issue with some coffee shops here: they think more is best. They extract too much or too little from the beans.
Absolutely incredible food. I kind of hate cafes in general so I was not prepared to be completely blown away by their chicken sandwich. Reasonable prices by Vancouver cafe standards. Really good gelato too.

Over priced. The size of their to go coffee glasses are also smaller than any average coffee shops . Price of small latte was $5 + if you go for medium / large the price difference was another Lonnie or so . The coffee tasted just okay. Lattes were not appropriately warm. I ordered a Large Cafe Mocha and it was average taste. Good that I asked the price difference when I ordered.
The expresso shot was light . Mocha qty was less . Lesser than any average coffee shop.

Berry tart had a bad strawberry on it, ice cream waffle cone was stale. No apologies nor offering to exchange/refund. Not sure how this place has >4 stars, first and last visit for me.
