Went there around 12, there’s two servers were working
One of the server was extremely rude to my friend
I was a little shocked when she gave us attitude and the other server asked me if everything okay
We ordered coffee and a croissant, she forgot to give us croissant but acted like we were bothering her
Also asked for a togo cup for kids so they can drink water which we paid for the water
She gave us used cup there was water in the cup so we had to ask for a new one
She said sorry but as soon as we turned around i caught her giving us a dirty look
I don’t know what her problem was? But never going there again

I had beef barley soup and it was very delicious but prices are a little bit high!
The customer service is not the greatest I got very rude cashier!
The overall selection for the cafe is good though

Worst cafe in Vancouver. The egg in my muffin was a gelatinous foul disc thats 2 inches thick. The cheese is orange and full of microplastics probably. Came slapped on a sad paper plate. Coffee came with no lid and was filled to the very top so of course spilled out when I put a lid on. The server also looked at me very dead behind the eyes.

The cafe feels like a cafeteria with searing bright lights, no ambiance, and a loud echoey interior. The high tea for 2 was nice but you both have to have the same tea and sandwich.. kinda annoying. If it is nice weather an outdoor patio seat would be ok though. Also there is no clotted cream. Staff are nice.

Pretty basic cafe with a handful of vegan options, pretty quick service, and you get to walk around the gardens! The line to order is kinda weird but it’s a nice environment.

If I could give less I would. This is a dreadful example for one of the very few places in Vancouver that tourists go. The pictures are not true. Everything is done in paper, cappuccino - paper cup, sandwich - paper plate, soup - paper bowl, etc. etc. this is a terrible terrible place I would never recommend it, particularly for visitors.

Afternoon tea is meh. They were much better 10 years ago. Prices on sandwiches are expensive. So glad this place isn't replacing Shaunessy Restaurant.

The cafe is before you go through to pay to enter the gardens. There are indoor and outdoor seating. Except for the confusing and awkward line up to order, all is great here…the food, the pricing (10% off for members), the service…

I visited the Garden Cafe at VanDusen and decided to try a few things from their menu. The latte, unfortunately, was a bit underwhelming and could definitely be improved in flavour and texture. On the other hand, the almond croissant was absolutely delicious, very fresh and flaky. I also had the banana bread, which was moist, tasty, and surprisingly large, making it great value for the price.
My only suggestion is to fix or change their tables. They were very wobbly.

I don’t love paying $15.50 for a sandwich with rotten lettuce in it. The service wasn’t great either.
Nice sandwiches and good coffee. Can be very busy, even on weekdays
Had an experience with their signature afternoon tea. Which consists of three stacks of sandwiches, berry scones, croissants, and on the top stack is the dessert part, which includes white chocolate and dark chocolate balls, meringue pies, fancy macarons, two selections of jams and whipped cream.
The cafe was so crowded due to the weekend.
Overall, it was below my expectations
Nice cafe to have a quick bite before or after enjoying the gardens. They have vegan options!
Slow service, far to expensive for what they offer!
The staff does not clean the tables !!!!
Would not recommend for major meals !*
