I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this place yet. Shame on me. Grew up in the neighbourhood from elementary to high school and was eating here whenever I could in my mid to late twenties.
Now that I’ve moved a few cities away I couldn’t pass up a chance to stop by Uncle Mings when I was driving by.
Still has that hole-in-the-wall charm, don’t expect anything fancy. Run by an old couple (nearing retirement) they serve fast, hot, tasty, won’t-put-a-hole...

What this place lacks in decor more than makes up for in food
Established in 2004, they have been serving up great tasty Chinese for over two decades
Believe all the reviews and the hype, it is definitely a gem in the rough
This is one of the better mapo tofu dishes I’ve tried. Not overly spicy and a perfect blend of savoury on a bed of rice
Had to go for some deep-fried prawns. These...
