So we were passing by when we came across a place that offered japanese cheesecakes! As foodies we needed to try, and it is worth mentioning that it was our first time trying it. We thought the cheesecake was pretty pricey and the service was disappointing in a way that we might've expected that we will see some process, but we just got a prepackaged box. I must point that the design is pretty cute. Walking back home with the package we were pretty disappointed. But I must admit that we loved the taste. It was very light and fluffy. Super interesting recipe. We are grateful for Uncle Tetsu for introducing us to japanese cheesecakes in such a delightful way.I still think it's pretty expensive, but we definitely enjoyed every bite of it.

First had it in Toronto many years ago and was very excited to find it here! Such a great texture and flavor for cheesecake.

I've been a loyal customer of Uncle Tetsu for some time now, always eager to grab a cake when I visit their shop. However, today's experience with the chocolate cake was disappointing. Upon returning home, I discovered that a quarter of the cake had already been cut and was missing, which was both unprofessional and unexpected.

I've never encountered an Uncle Tetsu location that I haven't liked - this one doesn't offer the full product line (there are flavored cheesecakes at other locations - mmm strawberry and matcha), but it's serviceable. They do have the cheese tarts and the original cheesecake, which are really the items that I order consistently. The cheesecake was the soft, airy-but-creamy consistency that any Japanese cheesecake lover knows and adores. The cheese tart wasn't quite set; it could have used some chilling (it was being held at room temp). Service/facilities are perfunctory - they have a walk-up counter with one employee manning a register, and there's pretty much no room in the lobby to do anything other than to spin around and walk out the door with your goods, post-payment. Plan on sampling the wares elsewhere!

If you are looking for a soufflé cheese cake, this is the place to go! Very light and airy… literally melt in your mouth. It’s a little lackluster for me tho. What I like the best here is their honey madeleine. It’s like a hybrid with Japanese castella cake. So good it’s a must try!

Wowzers. Uncle Tetsu cooked. Best cheesecake ever. Perfectly fluffy but it didn't leave my mouth dry and it was also pretty dense somehow. Good job.
