I had an Irish guy as my server at the bar and he was so welcoming. Asked for a cocktail off menu and made it even better than I expected! Very knowledgeable and polite, didn’t try any food but can’t wait to visit again and try it.

Wow I’m beyond disappointed! My boyfriend and I drove an hour to come here and made reservations ! We get here after paying $20 for parking only to see there’s no one in the restaurant, so confused we go to ask browns staff if the restaurant is closed or if they know where the entrance was , we were told as they weren’t busy they just decided to close. How unprofessional, at least give us a call or don’t allow bookings if you’re closing early ! On google it still open till 12 AM! Absolute waste of time , gas, and money.

Not sure if it was an off night, but after our experience here last night, I can’t recommend it and don’t think we’ll be returning.
We arrived with a reservation and were seated at a wobbly table directly next to another party, even though the restaurant was mostly empty at that time. A bartender promptly provided water and our first round of drinks, which was the only positive aspect of our visit.
After informing them that we would be ordering food, we weren't acknowledged for 30 minutes. A server finally came and took our food order and second round of drinks, but unfortunately it took ages for our drinks, and we had to follow up multiple times. Mind you, we ordered a beer and a glass of wine, which doesn't take long to pour. The server seemed unfamiliar with the menu, and it appeared that our drinks hadn’t even been rung in (we were seated right by the bar and could see other tables drinks being made). One of the two drinks eventually arrived only after our food was served, and after following up with the server again about the second drink, it was finally delivered with the bill - 45 minutes after being ordered.
Throughout our visit, there was no quality check on the food, and our water glasses remained empty. It was unclear who was responsible for our table, and there was no apology for the delays or the oversight with our orders. To top it off, we were still charged for the drink that came while we were ready to pay. Unfortunately, this was the worst service experience we’ve had.

We came for drinks before and after a concert at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre. The service was not great the first time but we chalked it up to being busy although it still shouldn't have taken 30m for one round of drinks. Afterward we were one of very few tables and the service was shockingly bad. I'd go to Browns next time.

this is only a review of the karaoke experience here. my group waited 2h+ for our songs to be played and left extremely disappointed. Whenever we would ask about the order of songs, the organizers would give us a random number that was completely false. We realized after asking 3 times that they just wanted to keep us waiting to buy more drinks and left.

Noisy… excessively… and the only food you can get is whatever they can open a freezer bag and drop into a deep fryer. Also my Aperol spritz was watered down… badly watered down. Also, seated four of us at a table that was about 14” in diameter. When i asked how they would fit our food orders onto that table i just got blank stares… from three different staff members.

Ventura Room is a really nice spot in Vancouver. The decor is warm and cozy, making it a great place for a date night or a relaxed evening out. For cocktail, we ordered Saturn, which was super tasty and refreshing. It comes in a pitcher and ideal for sharing. The food was just as good. The overall vibe was chill and welcoming. I’d definitely come back.

Went with my wife for a drink and some appies after a show at the Queen E. Drinks and food was good. We've been there a handful of times and always enjoyed it. Never noticed before but sure seemed like a lot of lesbian couples there. Is this a gay bar?
It's at a perfect location for anyone staying downtown. Ventura Room was pretty dead but because of it I got to interact with server and bartender about Vancouver, Canada. Definitely recommend you visiting Ventura Room.

Food was better than I expected! LOVE the sliders!!! They really do sell it in their drinks though, I loved their prickly pear (marg style) and I even asked the bartender to make me something (not sure if they’d pull it off) and they went above and beyond, they really know their stuff. they definitely have a drink for everyone! Definitely coming back!

I honestly think Ventura room is one of the best cocktail lounges I’ve ever been to. The staff will make you feel like family, they are all so attentive to detail and love sharing their knowledge about the different spirits and drinks they provide. The house cocktails are so much fun, my favourite off the menu is their Nitro Pornstar (which is on early happy hour!), it’s a vodka base, passion fruit syrup cocktail that has a wickedly soft foam and comes with a shot of Prosecco, I really loved how I could customize the sweetness of my cocktail by adding in the processco, very fun!All the bartenders are extremely creative, I chose to let the bartenders make me something fun and boy did they deliver! Everything was balanced and I enjoyed every sip! The tapa’s are also amazing, my favourite was the tuna poke tacos, but the meatballs were a close second.
Also, can we talk about all the cool EVENTS they do? Burlesque, Latin night, paint days, drag brunches, karaoke?! My gosh, what don’t they do here?! Each night is so much fun, and the space is so beautiful, it’s hard not to make good memories here.
Highly recommend visiting The Ventura Room for your next fun night out, you won’t regret it!

I love this place so much, especially the vibes and its staff, really nice and friendly people. My favorite cocktails are Locals Only and By the fire, and the appies are so tasty, like the yam fries, sliders and spicy Tuna crispy rice 👌 they do different types of events like Latin night, karaoke, comedy shows, burlesque and Drag Brunch. I definitely recommend this place 😊
