Have eaten at the location at the Vancouver airport a few years ago. Tried the location at Northlands in Calgary today. Food quality is excellent. The price is the disappointment. Fifteen dollars for the bacon & cheese burger đ is high although good quality. I can make one just as good at home. Staff was friendly although with the fans etc very hard to hear.
The burger and fries are tasty and not too expensive.
The service is great.
The place could get a little renovation.
What an absolute delicious place to eat!
Burger was terrible, so greasy. A&W is way better. I guess Veraâs has gone downhill
Was a great taste on meat and lamb burger!!
đtry it if you want to try original đ
It's excellent option! Cheaper and tastier than triple O's next to it
Wicked as burgers, pretty rad place to get some tucker.
Went twice in a couple days, first night was mint went for lunch the next day, girl on the counter seemed a bit under pressure coke was out and she really needed a back up person to help but they were busy.
I'm always impressed with the food!
Delicious burgers made with fresh ingredients and balanced seasonings
One of the best burgers in town

The food is mediocre - the buns tasted a bit stale and the burger was overwhelmed by the sauce. The staff handling the food were also touching the cash register and handling money without washing their hands. However, my greatest frustration was that the restaurant advertised a âburger and friesâ deal that came without fries. When asked where the fries were, they informed me that âfries cost extraâ. I pointed out that I had paid $20 for a âburger AND FRIESâ, but they refused to honour the deal. It felt pretty scammy, so I wonât be giving them my business in the future.
I was downtown and decided to walk back to Kitsilano where I live. When I crossed the burrard bridge I started to get hungry. Along the way on Cornwall there are two burger places. I decided to bypass the first one and go to Vera's. The restaurant was a bit empty. There was only one booth occupied. Also there was only one guy in the kitchen. He was taking orders and cooking. Some orders to be picked up and mine to go. He told me that my wait was 20 minutes.
I got my burger and fries and walked home. The burger was great and tasty. I asked for bacon in it and it was delicious. Unfortunately the fries were not good. I even tried to reheat them using my microwave. In the end dead fries were just dead unsavory fries.
I will come back and buy more burgers. However if I order fries I will eat them there to find out if maybe the trip from Vera's to my place was the problem.
Overall I will come back and try Vera's delicious burgers soon enough.
It's a great place with good prices and excellent daily promotions.
I got the cajun burger and fries. I don't buy takeout often, because I'm normally disappointed, but this was delicious and not your typical sloppy burger. Delicious and made with care!
