Why are coffee shops still charging $1 for oat milk? It’s cheaper than regular milk 😭 popular spot but $7.50 for a small matcha
The best coffee around! Love the team at Viva, so friendly and WOW do they keep their cool on sunny days & weekends when its super busy. Small wait considering how busy it gets and their microphone system lets you chill outside and head in when order is ready. They also take time to remember regulars names - real sense of community which is lovely. Coffee is delicious, and in love with the pastries, which I have to restrict to once a week otherwise would get every time. Italiano Sandwich is a hidden gem - YUM. Thanks team viva

They used to give a free coffee when you bought a bag of beans, but, no more :( Coffee is okay, nothing special. Good baked items!
The soups are delicious, and the muffins are good.
Coffee is good.
Staff are welcoming.

My favourite cafe in the neighborhood. Staff are some of the nicest ppl- they’ll make an effort to remember your name if you’re a return customer. Coffee is consistently good and pain suisse on the weekend is a perfect treat. You see the same ppl here day after day and there’s a great sense of community at this place. :)

May be the best coffee shop in Vancouver, certainly up there with Prado and Pallet.

Dropped in for a quick lunch before going for a beach walk. We enjoyed our lattes and the food there.

I picked out a bacon pastry, bit into it and all that came out was oil. Like purely the most repulsive feeling. Its due to either a reused baking sheet from bacon grease or this particular pastry was at the unfortunate end of a tilted pan soaking up every bit of melted fats from every other pastry fats. When I brought this to their attention a man near the espresso machine tried to correct me and say its not oil its butter. Why dont you eat it then sir? See how it tastes. And if you think thats normal try the hundreds of cafes around Vancouver. That's oil from bacon fat that tainted that pastry. Don't correct me when you haven't tasted it.
1 star for that rudeness alone. I've never sent back food, this was horrible. The rest of the staff were polite and allowed me to replace it with something else which hilariously I chose the tomato pastry which was super dry but edible still. Completely flipped from a over soaked fat pastry to a non soaked one. Hilarious.
That was such a repulsive response. Don't get all offended like that.

I've gone here a few times, especially during the summer. It's a nice spot. Nothing special about the coffee (not amazing, but not bad), and baked goods could go either day depending on your palate (not for me personally). It can get quite busy and overwhelming with the amount of people that go there and with that volume, trying to find a seat. However, it is a nice spot to sit outside in the summer and have a decent coffee. I think what makes this place great is the location and staff. Staff here are extremely nice. They are always professional and friendly. It's definitely worth visiting if in the area, just aim to be there outside their busiest hours, if possible.
