Went a couple weeks ago. Nice new affordable sushi spot. Seating is very spacious and service was good, our tea/water was constantly refilled. Came to about $25/pp after tax and tip with some leftover packed to-go.

We walked in off the street to place a take-out order. The service was super fast and friendly. The restaurant has the most lovely orchids and tropic plants on display as well. Highly recommend for your sushi cravings.

For the past 6 times I have called before closing to order food only to be disappointed when I am refused service due to kitchen already being closed. Hours of operation clearly states that they are open until 10 pm. I called before 10 pm and am told the same thing everytime. You might want to consider changing your hours until 9:30 pm. This is very poor service and will no longer buy from this place. The workers are rude and provide poor service to their customers. They also have always refused to deliver.

The food was not good. Tempura was soggy, had salad on the side but was clear its just a way to make the whole meal not horrible. Overall not worth it at all; wont go back

Volcano sushi has been my go-to sushi restaurant in the East Hastings area for the past 4 years. They recently rebranded and the restaurant looks stunning, straight out of Japan. Not to mention, the seafood is always fresh and is of great value. Just read all of the comments!

My second time for this great, cozy Japanese restaurant! The sashimi are fresh and bigger than other restaurants I had in Vancouver. Their signature Dragon roll is as tasty as usual - creamy avocado, crispy prawn tempura and fresh fish with umami. We love it!
