Driven by for years, decided to chance it...and hey, it's pretty good. Time will tell if we get any food poisoning but so far, pretty good. Surprised at the portions, really good bang for your dollar. Spider roll was up to snuff, and we had the Ferry boat, fed enuf for our family, totally good. We will def be adding this to our sushi place to go if all goes well tonight LOL!

I ordered the Super Volcano Roll. It looked like somebody had vomited on my plate. It tasted off. There was supposed to be crab and salmon in the rolls but you just couldn't taste it beyond the sour-off turned bad type taste. It literally made my stomach turn it was so bad. I haven't had Sushi for so long so I was really looking forward to experiencing this dish which seems like it's a Store Special. If that was the Store Special it doesn't say much for the rest of the menu. Mind you, the roll being called Super Volcano Roll might not have anything to do with the store when it was created. I generally really like Sushi and many Japanese dishes but I would strongly advise not ordering the Super Volcano Roll ... mind you some people might still enjoy this dish. I can recall a coworker raving on how good this Chinese Restaurant was. I was served broccoli bathed in garlic and the food was stale but my coworker looked all offended that I spit out the food. I know what these dishes should taste like. This was just too much. It was too much of a sensory load, too busy and not the right balance of spices and ingredients. Try it if you want but I don't recommend you do.

Only tried some tempura but the whole menu looks really good. Nice atmosphere, quiet but still had a few tables enjoying themselves. I didnt feel rushed and actually appreciated the extra time I had there instead of rushing to get my bill. I will definitely come back and try some rolls next timeParking: It's a tight parking lot so if you have a big truck or a large van you might have trouble fitting into their spots if there's also cars along the side of the building. Otherwise there is free street parking immediately down the side roadWheelchair accessibility: Probably not wheelchair friendly, it's a very tight entrance

Ok. In a pinch. Typical Chinese Sushi. There are 638 Sushi restaurants in Vancouver, and only 3 of them are Japanese owned and operated. One is on Broadway, which I highly recommend. He also invented the Californian roll.

It’s super fast, consistent, and a really great price. It ain’t fancy sushi but if you’re not going for fancy sushi and need a reliable takeout spot, this is a great go-to.

Have tried their sashimi and the signature roll. The sashimi is thick and fresh. Their signature roll is full of umami with Unagi and Prawn. Nice Japanese food

Volcano sushi & grill is at East Hastings. It’s a small place. There’s a small space for parking. I tried the Chicken teriyaki for the first time and it was delicious ? I really liked it. And we had Agedashi tofu which was also yummy. We had the soup first but I didn’t like it very much. I really enjoyed my meal. The server, she was very attentive. It was not crowded today. So, overall I had a really good experience.

A great price for QUALITY sushi. All the fish was fresh and delicious, and they had several rolls that offered real crab. To us, the flavour difference is noticeable so it was a great option to have. Also their deep fried rolls were perfect! Not over battered or pily at all. Wish we had tried the tempura. Yum!! Will be back!

Great spot, large menu, always fresh and super decent prices. I've eaten inside many times and it's nothing special but always had good service. I have a toddler and they brought out special dishes for her. For sure recommend!

One of the best sushi places I have been too 2 for sure in my opinion volcano roll and super volcano roll are the best I’ve ever had in all of Vancouver I’ve been to at least 10 others and they do not compare, good value for regular sushi as well highly recommended. Good luck parking tho only 3 or 4 spots and are small tight spots too
