Burgers are $6.25 ($1 for cheese). At this price the burgers are just okay, nothing feels special. What felt odd was even though it’s a tiny food trailer, the person never looked/took orders until a bunch of orders were done and delivered. No hello or please wait, even when I said hello, absolute silence and ignore. Ended up waiting 10 mins just to order and no one else was even there. Kinda ruined the whole experience, had been waiting a year.

5 stars all across the board! This may be a small burger truck but it definitely packs a big punch with its Japanese variations on its menu.

The hype of the quality is legit. The line up is well worth the wait because the staff is so friendly and caring. There is attention to detail here and I always keep coming back whenever I’m in this area. I’ve even uber off them a few times.

I highly recommend Wakwak to whoever hasn’t tried them yet. I’ve always had a wonderful experience each time!

So I had this at the food truck in New Westminster. Honestly the menu looked great which made me decide to buy from them. The line up was ridiculously long which for me is usually a good sign that the food is worth the wait. Their ultimate beef burger was pretty good. Unfortunately I wasn’t super impressed with the rest of the food:

1. The regular fries were salty and oily. I think the oil wasn’t hot enough when they fried them

2. The garlic fries were also verrrryyy salty and unfortunately oily as well. I’m not sure if because the fries weren’t crispy they soaked up too much of everything and just made them this way but I didn’t finish them.

3. I also think the oil wasn’t hot enough when they friend the tempura chicken for their tempura chicken sandwich cause again… it was soggy and oily.

Other than that, the lady who took the order and gave the food was pretty friendly. I do understand that maybe they were rushing due to the line up but as a first time customer i probably would have preferred to wait and have great food because now i don’t think i will every try them again.

The Japanese style French fries were way too salty, beef patties were undercooked. Don’t waste your money and risk your health eating their trash food.

This was the first time I experienced two terrible things at once.

I paid \$30 for four very small burgers. That part is fine.
But the chicken burger was completely undercooked and made with the gristly part of the thigh — so tough and rubbery that it couldn’t be chewed and had to be spat out.
That was the first awful experience: the taste was terrible. Nobody wants to bite into a chunk of raw cartilage, even if it’s covered in sauce and wrapped in a bun.

Now for the second, even worse part: when I returned the burger (raw cartilage surprise!) and showed them exactly why I felt this was unacceptable for a $30 meal, they simply took it from me, said, “Thanks for letting us know,”
and that was it.
That was it!

Great little food truck serving up a wide assortment of burgers! Got the double cheese burger - delicious. Nice crisp lettuce, good flavour on the fried onions, meat was smashed and fried and still juicy, bun was fresh.

First ever of this burger from a Food Truck. Loved it and its best burger ( Food Truck ) at Powell Street Festival 2024! The Double Cheese Burger and the Toriten was so fresh, tender, and delicious. It was worth the wait in the heat during the festival and worth tipping ( great services, friendly, and prompt ). Highly recommend Wak Wak truck =)

Worst food truck experience.

30min line up to order and over 1hr to get your food.
If I knew I had to wait under the sun for this long time, I wouldn’t order it, but they said 20min wait.

And the burger + fries are not worth 1.5+hr wait.

Had the okonimi burger and fries.
Burger was alright for the price, thin slice of patty.
Almost the whole order of my fries are burnt

Been wanting to try for a long time, disappointed. No next time :(

I only had the chance of trying their okomiyaki corndog due to all their other items being sold out (whoot, good work team). That being said the corndog is infinitely better than the Korean version! The service was fantastic, the girl at the counter was very patient and gracious even with 100s of people throwing themselves at the truck and making complaints. Can't wait to try their burgers one of these days.

Expect long waits during peak lunch periods, and even longer for their more premium burgers. However, the regular hamburgers (with or without cheese) simply cannot be beat at this price point. The French Fries are absolutely amazing, they always remind me of what New York Fries can strive to achieve. They do not skimp out on sauces on their burgers so be aware. I adore the chicken burgers they have over the other protein options. Cooked fresh to order, what more can you ask for?
