We ordered chicken parmesan. My portion was raw inside — visibly pink/half flesh when checked with a flashlight — and cold. My husband’s was also cold, though not visibly raw like mine. Undercooked chicken is a serious food-safety issue. We were not charged. Posting for awareness.

Came to Water St Cafe as a group of 6 because we’d heard good reviews, but we left really disappointed. The atmosphere and location are good, but the service was careless and unprofessional. One staff member only poured water for half the table and didn’t bother coming around to fill everyone’s glass. Another server cleared dishes by loudly slamming plates together, which made things uncomfortable. Gratuity was automatically added (for a group of 6) despite poor service and food. I also got a stomachache shortly after eating the grilled chicken. Overall, not worth the hype. It’s a shame because this place could be amazing, but with service like this, the nice vibes don’t matter much. If you’re working in hospitality, basic kindness and professionalism shouldn’t be optional.

good vibes good value but the service was a bit off. The server dropped the glasses, and it splashed all over. Our bench was full of lil glass and when it dropped, the pieces hit and cut my tight and my legs. Nothing serious, just a small cut but I’ll appreciate if the server come check and ask if we’re okay at the moment, and clean the bench as well. It’s so unprofessional. Pretty ridiculous to get cut by glass when you’re having a good time in the restaurant eh. And the other person, who I assume is the manager came to check and offered us drinks was nice but yeah, the night was still ruined. Was having the rest of the time with glass pieces on the bench still.

The food was nice along with the entertainment last year for Dine out . I wouldn’t go back because the 2 glasses of Sangria Lacked The Booze. I would definitely just have wine. Bardenters “Where is the alcohol ?!!!”
We were incredibly lucky to walk in here on Christmas night, straight off a plane from Australia, and be given a table for three. The staff were so accommodating and helpful. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas and had a very reasonably priced 5 course menu. Absolutely delicious food in generous portions (especially the ribs!) we thoroughly enjoyed our Canadian Christmas day. Thank you so much.

10/10 we had a magical New Year’s Eve, Tom, our server, was attentive and jazzy. Food was delicious, mushroom gnocchi and focaccia, negroni golden hour was perfect. Midnight champagne was the icing on the pistachio cherry cannoli, thank you everyone you are appreciated

I enjoy dining here while listening to the small live performances on weekends. The food is consistently excellent, and the Sunday evening tasting course is truly outstanding. The staff also provide exceptional service, which makes the overall experience even better.
