I came to Wave Coffee, about 2 minutes' walk from the hotel, around 9 o'clock this morning on Sat. There were a few customers in the store, but it wasn't crowded at all. I, who had no appetite, looked into the bake case to see what to eat for breakfast. I don't usually eat muffins, but I caught my eye with cranberries, bitter orange muffins, lemons, and zucchini muffins. Then, I ordered both and ordered the store's signature Nanaimo. I decided to try Wave au lait for drinks. I didn't add the tip because it was to go when I paid. Maybe that's why the women on the staff didn't smile at me and told me to come get the drink. I feel that tipping is becoming commonplace but requires a smile and gratitude. I took it back to the hotel and had cranberry orange muffin and Wave au lait, and it tasted good. I couldn't eat anything else, but I'm sure good taste!

I love this branch on Robson St. and the whole team! The staff are very attentive and generally cheerful. I’m sure their energy is great as a team. My husband and I often come here to have coffee and watch the street, and it’s very enjoyable for us! Thank you.

The food was ok, my espresso was also just ok. It is ok the pricier side, but there definitely is some level of quality. I also like how you can get half sizes on sandwiches. (But their total is like $10, which is crazy)

In all if you haven't gone and you like sitting in cafes, the atmosphere is nice, but the food is a bit expensive.

Many of the store staff are kind.
My personal recommendation is the iced latte Waves size. It's a little more expensive than the iced lattes at other stores, but I think it's just that much more delicious.

Waves is a below-average café. The coffee has an odd taste and the food is small, unappetizing, and served cold. Furthermore, despite its low quality, the prices are as high as those found in specialty coffee shops. I would advise against visiting this establishment
