Great time last night for after dinner drinks and appies. Lively atmosphere and great vibes. Service of Natalia amazing, GP adding a few birthday touches was appreciated. Be back soon,
Food and service was excellent. Dine Out menu was a great value. Love the open kitchen to watch the Chefs work.
West Coast atmosphere and stellar interior design and layout. Have visited a few times and each one is consistent in that food is unique, something for all and Happy Hour is a must. As a vegan, I love the Crispy Tofu Quinoia Bown and order always, veggie and hummus appie and house white wine also fall into my options and are enjoyed. Service is good! Give it a try if heading for Yaletown, checking out a local concert or play at the Queen Elizabeth. Never disappoints.
Tucked into a block crowded with restaurants, it's easy to pass over WestOak in favor of one of the bigger names nearby, but doing so would be a mistake.
At first glance, the patio and facade blend in seamlessly with the surrounding Yaletown aesthetic, much like many of the neighboring spots. What truly sets WestOak apart, however, is the service and the food. Although it appeared to be a quieter evening, the service was exceptional. We were seated promptly, and our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being overbearing. Everything arrived quickly, often without having to ask, and sometimes before we even realized we needed it.
The food was equally impressive. We started with a calamari dish that was bright, fresh, and easily the best I have had in recent memory. For my main, I ordered the lamb shank, which was excellent. My usual benchmark for lamb is The Greek just a few doors down, but WestOak is giving them serious competition. The drink menu is also well curated, with a solid selection of beers, wines, and cocktails.
We were unfortunately too full to try dessert, though the options looked tempting and are reason enough to return. I am already looking forward to coming back to try more.

We had a great time at West Oak. They are open late, staff very nice, the quality of food is amazing. The mushroom risotto, perfection with lots of flavour. I would have taken more pictures but we were so hungry. We drove from Abbotsford and Langley to get to West Oak and it was 100% worth it.

The ambiance is warm and inviting on a cold winter night, good seating at an indoor table. We started with a bottle of Whitehaven SB and calamari - delicious. Our mains were Salmon and Sable fish, both had good presentation and flavour. Unfortunately we had the server from Space Camp - Ms T. Attitude and eye rolls, drinking on the job (hello LCB), very focused on catching up with her fellow servers rather than paying attention to patrons of West Oak. She lacked product knowledge for wine temperature and when asked what type of Salmon it is responded - “oh, .. salmon with mashed potatoes”
The food was delicious only I can say that if you ask sparkling wine by glass sometimes is not so fresh but if you ask that they change it , they do immediately .
best happy hour in yvr!! food tasted amazing and service was top-notch. loved everything we ordered. would definitely go back!!

Love the new set up, and the music is way better than that weird rap music that they used to play there.
The food is fantastic here, but the music is too loud so it's tough to have real conversations. Our waiter was incredibly friendly and a pleasure, the food was really, really tasty. I'd definitely go back, but it would be nice if they turned the music down a little.
Amazing food and beautiful decorations. One thing that was odd was there was no beer on tap, no problem. When I asked for a Stella she brought a glass but didn't pour it. For a higher end dining experience it shocked me a bit
Visited West Oak for brunch with friends from Houston. The place is upscale without being pretentious. The server was very friendly and provided great service. The manager came over to check on us and engaged in some nice conversation with our table. All the dishes we ordered were well presented and everyone enjoyed their meal. We introduced my American friends to a Caesar cocktail. Overall, highly recommend this spot in Yaletown. Great ambiance, delicious food and nice staff.
Having dinner by myself, I felt welcomed and not rushed. Very nice ambiance on the high tables by the bar. Great food. Highly recommend in the Yaletown area.
