Love the new set up, and the music is way better than that weird rap music that they used to play there.
The food is fantastic here, but the music is too loud so it's tough to have real conversations. Our waiter was incredibly friendly and a pleasure, the food was really, really tasty. I'd definitely go back, but it would be nice if they turned the music down a little.
Amazing food and beautiful decorations. One thing that was odd was there was no beer on tap, no problem. When I asked for a Stella she brought a glass but didn't pour it. For a higher end dining experience it shocked me a bit
Visited West Oak for brunch with friends from Houston. The place is upscale without being pretentious. The server was very friendly and provided great service. The manager came over to check on us and engaged in some nice conversation with our table. All the dishes we ordered were well presented and everyone enjoyed their meal. We introduced my American friends to a Caesar cocktail. Overall, highly recommend this spot in Yaletown. Great ambiance, delicious food and nice staff.
Having dinner by myself, I felt welcomed and not rushed. Very nice ambiance on the high tables by the bar. Great food. Highly recommend in the Yaletown area.
We came for happy hour and it was fantastic. The service was so great and the prices and value were amazing. Everything we ate was delicious - steak frites, their famous prawns, tuna tostadas and ceaser salad. Drinks were $10 each on happy hour and all good options. We were celebrating my boyfriend's birthday and they even brought out a complimentary cheese cake. Very impressed for our first visit, we will definitely be back.
I went in OpenTable looking for a great location with good ambience. WestOak filled that desire. Located in Yaletown near the Keg and Earl's, you will find WestOak. They have an amazing menu of cocktails and non-alcoholic variety of drinks. The menu is simple offering many farm to table options with their own unique twist. I had their braised lamb shank which was fall of the bone delicious, along with a glass of Grey Munk Pinot Noir. I love the texture and softness of the braised lamb served on a bed of fresh vegetables (carrots, beans) and mash potatoes surrounded in au jus. It wasn't too salty and tasted amazing. I capped it off with their apple galette which is a deconstructed apple pie but even better. It is serviced warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and walnuts. I deeply enjoyed my meal and service here. And highly recommend WestOak if not for the food the drinks were amazing too
Dining at West Oak is consistently great! From the interior design to the patio design, the ambience couldn't be better. Food is delicious and the service excellent!
Happy hour Steak Frites and Chinious Prawns, so good. Food always on point, great service!!
Always a great restaurant to visit whether for lunch, HH or dinner with a nice ambience & really good selection of the menu. Very friendly service & they also have an inviting patio. One of the better restaurants in Yaletown.

Amazing food and service.. Owner happened to be there and introduced himself. He was extremely kind and hospitable. We will continue to come back every time we come to Vancouver
I want to give a huge shoutout to GP, the manager at West Oak. He is clearly running an excellent restaurant and bar. A place like Pierre’s/West Oak gets so busy on a Saturday night, and without a strong manager making sure things are handled the right way, the staff wouldn’t be as attentive and trustworthy as they are. It’s not just about great food, drinks, music, and DJs (which were all amazing) — it’s also about knowing you can trust the establishment to look out for you, even when guests are having fun and might forget things. That kind of leadership makes all the difference.
The next day, I came back completely stressed because I’d left my purse with my house keys inside. The purse itself isn’t expensive or designer, but I had just bought it in Rome on vacation, so it’s sentimental — and with my AirTag not working, I was extra worried. Eve, the hostess, was absolutely wonderful. She was so genuine and sincere, immediately reassuring me and treating the situation with care. She even started taking down my number just in case, showing real diligence, but then she didn’t make me wait around at all. Instead, she rushed to find the manager right away and within minutes, GP personally came out with my purse. I honestly didn’t even wait five minutes.
Eve’s kindness and professionalism, combined with GP’s leadership, turned what could have been a nightmare into an amazing experience. It gave me so much trust in West Oak knowing that the staff truly care about their guests and their belongings. Huge thanks again to both GP and Eve — you saved me a lot of stress, and I’ll definitely be coming back!
