We came with a big group for a friend's birthday party. We found out after that larger groups have their own (expensive) menu with extremely limited options. Even when I asked about a different menu, I was told, "No." The food was slightly above average, and the dessert was cookies. I'm not joking. We had to pay 55 each, and chose an appetizer, entre, and a dessert, and the dessert was cookies. They were good, but for 55 dollars, cookies are unacceptable. I do not recommend this place. Go somewhere else.I followed up after they offered me a free meal and they never honoured it. The manager never responded to my text. Therefore, I'm leaving my review.

We kicked things off with a feast fit for royalty: Mussels & Fries, Maui Ribs, and Chinois Prawns danced on our taste buds with flavor! Even the Vegan Gyoza made an appearance and held its own.Shoutout to our lovely waitress for keeping the good vibes flowing and for the delightful birthday candle surprise! ? But oh, the Braised Lamb Shank... cue sad trombone It was a bit overcooked, and the sauce was a tad too spicy for my liking. However, we're willing to give it a pass because everything else was on point!The ambiance was stellar until a boisterous group barged in and turned up the volume. ? And just when we were getting cozy, they decided to dim the lights even more! ?️ Next time, maybe let's keep it bright enough for bill reading, eh?Overall, WestOak gets a solid 4 stars from us! The photo does not do justice to the meaty and scrumptious lamb shank. Sitting on a bed of veggies, it was almost too much food to finish!! Waiter was attentive and gracious, restaurant is open to the kitchen for a foody atmosphere.

Our server was conscientious and our food was excellent! I had the ling cod which was melt in your mouth and super flavorful. My friend had the salmon and she said it was the best she ever had!!!

Great place for amazing food. The ambience is perfect for a date or group get together. Mine and my friends' usual go to spot. Unfortunately, we've all noticed that the service has gone down hill! The servers used to be extremely friendly and nice. These days, they seem to have an attitude. Not sure what's happened. Go for the food and ambience. Be prepared for unfriendly service.
