If you like green tea/matcha and cute and very tasty Japanese inspired baked goods, don’t miss Whisk! Their wraps are super good too.
Shares same space as Level V Bakery. Excellent selection of match drinks - from high-quality matcha prepared traditionally, to oat milk match lattes, and numerous other matcha drinks and other coffee or Japanese tea drinks. Also - vegan soft serve ice cream. A recommended spot to go in Vancouver. Updated from previous review on 2024-08-22
They had vegan ube buns! Really nice to try an ube bun since going vegan, next time I'll try the pineapple bun. Ube bun was pretty good! The matcha was excellent. Seating is a bit limited, was quite busy on the weekend. But would love to go back next time we're in Vancouver!

Staff were kind of rude, asking simple questions like where to put our dirty dishes, which were met with an annoyed look and disdainful response. I understand it stinks being at work, but when that is made so readily apparent, it does kind of come off as though us being there is a nuisance.
I work in the service industry, and I also understand customers can be a handful, but it's not like I was rude or didn’t tip. I know staff probably won't care about this review, but it's people like them that make me hesitate asking people questions in the first place, being anxious about getting the exact type of response I got from them. Overall, the matcha and food were great, but the staff manning the helm are doing the location a massive disservice, making their customers feel like a complete waste of space. Thankfully there are an infinite amount of equally good alternatives in the area, like the coffee place right across the street, way better! But the service is what’s stopping me from coming back again…but i know if staff see this they will literally not care lol

Great little spot. Just a little busy and cramped sometimes. Their selection of teas and snacks is great.

Food is great. All vegan, which is awesome. I wasn’t happy about the service today though… the person who made my matcha latte rolled her eyes at me when I asked if I could have a to go cup… this is all after I spent 26$. Because of this, I likely wouldn’t come back

Matcha Oat Latte & Hojicha Oat Latte?
The quality of the two teas is good, but Barista’s technique is not good. Both cups are too bubbley, and one of them is too hot. Remember to inform yourself that it is sugar-free‼ ️
Matcha Mochi Muffin looks ugly but tastes delicious. It’s just a small bite to enjoy?
Matcha Bubble Waffle
?Only sold on Saturdays from 11 to 13 o'clock. The flavors will change every month. I was lucky enough to encounter matcha in September.
Vegan friendly ?dairy free! Eggless! No nuts! It’s delicious to eat hot on site, and you can also add mochi?

It has come to my attention that I have never rated or reviewed this place. I have been coming here multiple times a week for about two years. Great matcha, great staff. 10/10
Matcha is very high quality. I got the Stawberry Matcha Latte. It’s very pricey though. $9 instead of $6-7 which is what I would have liked. ?
It comes without sugar so I pumped a ton of cane sugar into the drink.

Very yummy hojicha
I come here to buy matcha and hojicha drinks all the time but only discovered that they had a stamp card for drinks today. So don't forget to ask for one.
Finally got a hold of the matcha and hojicha vegan ice cream in mini pints. Matcha is very rich and has some astringent aftertaste which I've never had before in ice cream.
At first the hojicha was kinda gross and tasted like bananas. But I know hojicha doesn't taste like this. I then saw they had a banana cream flavor and realized it must have been mixed in. I told the staff and they were quick to replace it. The new one tasted much better. Very creamy and rich and no gross banana taste. We actually like the holjicha more because it didn't have that bitterness.
Would definitely recommend the tea ice creams and the hojicha gold oat latte.
The sparkling yuzu matcha is great if you don't want any vegan milk. Just a fizzy refreshing matcha drink.
They also sell hojicha powder which is great to make at home.

Came here for the Vancouver ice cream festival and was pleasantly surprised by the matcha frappe! I wouldn’t say I’m a matcha connoisseur but I found the matcha to be high quality and love how it’s dairy free. Definitely visiting again!

My favorite so far is the Sparkling Yuzu Matcha. The combination of matcha and sparkling is genius. And I absolutely love the Yuzu spicing it up.
The matcha here is SUPER authentic - a rich taste, thick strong and a slight flavor of bitterness, and not the Westernized excessive sweet. Best matcha place I have had in N America.
The picture shows what I am trying today - Iced Matcha Lemonade.
