I ordered the baby back rib “half rack.” And when it came it wasn’t even a half rack it only had 4 rib bones. When I asked the server she said it was company policy. I went to many white spot in different places and it is not like that. A half rack by definition is 6 bones. Today I went to another white spot in Richmond and they said their half rack is 5-6 bones. Whereas, this one said it was only 4 bones. This inconsistency seems to be specific to this location, which suggests a local management issue that should be addressed.

My husband and I sometimes get breakfast from here. We like the menu options that they have, and they are a 5-minute drive from our home. Unfortunately, the service is hit or miss. Some of the young ladies at the front are very friendly and some not as much. We're not really bothered by that. Too much because usually we're just there to pick up our food. We have been here for dining in the past as well, and the service has been pretty good. I like that the food is consistent from one location to the next, so you know what you're getting when you order it.

The service was disappointing despite it not being busy. The servers rarely checked in on us and were often nowhere to be found. I had to follow up multiple times for my missing meal and it was clear that the order was never entered into the system. This experience fell short of expectations and I am extremely disappointed.

Thoroughly disappointed with our very short visit. We were seated and waited 15 minutes before deciding We would leave simply because no staff even bothered to acknowledge our presence. All were too busy talking to one another in the servers station or too focused on their phone. If someone even asked if we wanted to have something to drink We would have stayed but our 4 year old wanted his apple juice that he always has. Last time we will visit this location, we will drive the extra distance for better treatment and service.

Ordered takeout from here while staying at the hotel. The food was ready quickly, the price was good. Food was great, white spot is always good. Packaged well and included condiments, cutlery, etc.

Went there for lunch around 2 in the afternoon, we got seated right away as it was not that busy but then no server showed up. We waited for 20 mins and left without eating. Not a usual whitespot experience. I wouldn't go there again.

13 October 2024 tonight...
We reached White Spot at about 6 p.m. It was more than 30 minutes before someone took our order, and then we waited an additional 30 minutes for the food. When I asked the server if they were short-staffed, he mentioned that the kitchen was overwhelmed with takeout orders because of Thanksgiving.
As depicted in the photo, the presentation appears quite satisfactory; however, upon closer inspection of the carrot, you'll notice a bubbly and whitish mark. Additionally, the turkey was excessively salty. I inquired with another server—a very pleasant female individual "caucasian" —if the turkey was intentionally that salty. She offered to have it replaced. My server (identified as AK3280 on my receipt) mentioned it would be the same, as it would come from the same batch. Consequently, I requested a change, which took an additional 30 minutes. When I questioned the delay, he reiterated that the kitchen was overwhelmed with takeout orders due to Thanksgiving. My husband has already finished his dinner at this point.
By the time my food was served, it had already passed 7:00 p.m., I had already waited an hour. and have lost my appetite. After a few minutes tasting Spinach & Mushroom Fettuccine decided to have it to go. Again the container I requests have taken a long time.
Dining at a restaurant is supposed to be a stress-free experience. It would help if the server would have explained it better rather than expressing 'the kitchen is busy because of take out orders due to thanksgiving' it has given us an impression that restaurant cared more for the take out than the people that are dinning in. The restaurant were not packed and we as couple were pleasantly waited. Perhaps the company can train server to explain the situation better that it was handled. Not once did they return to offer water or drinks, nor did they apologize for the long wait for the food to be served.
We have been patrons of Whitespot for over 30 years, with the Kingsway location being our preferred spot. Perhaps your establishment could benefit from observing their approach to customer service. Unfortunately, the customer service at your location seems deficient, and the quality of the spinach mushroom fettuccine does not justify the price we paid. I requested the dish without salt and NOT gluten-free. When I inquired with another server about the bread, she clarified that it was gluten-free. I didn't pursue the matter further as I was too tired from the long wait for the simple meals I had ordered.
The receipt from the restaurant shows we left at 7:54:21 p.m. after waiting two hours for simple meals. I am disappointed and will not visit your establishment again; I prefer the Kingsway location. Today's visit to your location was unfortunately unsatisfactory.

Took forever to get my very simple order, was never offered a glass of water while I waited 20+ minutes for a burger and fries, and then waited ages before someone brought me a bill, with my server walking by me numerous times after I had finished eating and stacked my plates. They also had a seasonal menu on the table that wasn’t available so I couldn’t order what I actually wanted. The food was fine but the service was absent.
