Wo's Chinese Restaurant 金穗園美食

Ever since I was a child, I’ve seen this restaurant and always wondered how it was. I would bus to school and stand at the bus stop right infront of the restaurant not knowing the gem that was behind me. Fast forward MANY years later and I finally tried it. And the regret I had of not coming sooner hit me. I feel like I wasted so much time trying other Chinese restaurants. Because this to me is my favourite Chinese restaurant and it’s not even close. I’ve been a regular ever since the day I tried it. I highly reccomend it to anyone. Typically at other restaurants I’m scared to try other items on the menu that I normally don’t get. But here at Wo’s I haven’t had a bad experience with any item on the menu. Everything literally tastes amazing. Wo’s is the restaurant I recommend to everyone when they want Chinese food!

If you had to choose to have only one go-to, classic old school Chinese restaurant, like the kind you grew up with, this place would be a contender. It's on a busy street corner, it's unassuming from the outside, you'd almost easily pass it by. The inside is also pretty basic, but the food blows you away. It's like they took the timeless beef and broccoli, or chicken Chow mein, simple popular dishes, and made them more beautiful and even tastier than your everyday Chinese restaurant. The staff are kind, they even offered me some jasmine tea to take home when I asked them where they got it because it tastes so good. You can't go wrong here, lots of options, we ordered several different dishes and shared as a family. When I am near Vancouver, I would definitely enjoy eating here again.

I’ve driven by this place many times in the past. Years ago I decided to come in with family and friends. Since then I’ve been a regular. It’s not big place, but it’s very charming. It’s topnotch clean and bathrooms are always up kept.

This restaurant is a great staple to the community. It’s great Chinese food. I’ve always been getting their staples like the fried rice and chicken chow mien. This place is legit. Real good Chinese comfort food. Friendly atmosphere too!

There’s plenty of parking all around if you dine in.

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant! The place is small, cozy, and always clean. The staff is incredibly kind and polite, providing excellent service every time I visit. The quality and price of the entire menu are outstanding, making it a great value. I keep coming back and am never disappointed. I highly recommend the House Special Chow Mein and the Seafood Chop Suey (picture).

We have been trying their food for a while now, and it’s always tasty and consistent. The portion sizes are great, and the service is excellent. They also accept orders over the phone, which is very convenient. Absolutely worth a visit!

The freshly fried braised tofu is delicious, not greasy, not too salty, and has enough portion! The curry is full of flavor and goes well with rice.

Decent and reliable. Service is prompt and efficient. Done takeout and dine in. Wonton soup is quite good.

The food is of a high standard, you can eat comfortably, sit comfortably and the service is first-rate. Their Yangzhou fried rice is delicious, and the best thing is the tiger prawns.

My sister introduced me to Wo’s, her favourite Chinese and I discovered it to be a very nice as well. I’ve been there numerous times since and has always been very good

Delicious and reliable Chinese food. We had takeout which works well for group meals and sharing. The deep fried chicken wings were crispy and juicy with nice fried garlic flavour (save the fried garlic bits and seasonings on the bottom of the container to mix with your fried rice, it’s pure yum). The vegetable spring rolls were large and filled with lots of vegetables. The ginger beef was sweet and savoury with some nice scant hot peppers for mild spice with good gingery, sticky sauce. The sweet and sour pork was juicy with great flavour and solid. The fried rice and chow mein were everything one would want and expect and went well with the sweet and sour pork and ginger beef. The beef and broccoli was also nice in flavour which included carrots stir fried into it making it more of a veggie dish. Very satisfying when craving classic Chinese takeout dishes.

Been coming here for awhile now. Eat in or takeout the food is consistently very good. The portions are reasonable as is the pricing. The time we ate in the food tasted so fresh and the service was fantastic. Also their lunch specials are an amazing deal for a lot of food.
