When we came to dine in, the server informed us that the sides and appetizers were unavailable. We were a little disappointed but decided to stay.Food looked really good however the taste was just lacking. So I asked if they had any chili seasoning or vinegar but they didn't have any. Server was nice she came back to give me some chili oil.I give stars to the nice server but for the food it was just too bland and needed more flavor

The broth could use some work; but also could be because we picked “normal” for broth thickness. It turned out to be way too light and thin. The flavoring is mild, the soy taste is a little strong for my liking.Inside seating is available; it’s very limited. They encourage take-out.Prices are reasonable (it was $11.50+tax for regular shouyo). But after I had the ramen, i understand why this place has cheaper prices than other ramen places downtown.Service was lovely. They have single stall bathrooms available inside.

The broth is really salty. Not great.

I frequent this marvelous restaurant many times as I like the ambiance that is part of this restaurant. The crew is exceptionally attentive and experienced. The service is impressively rapid. Not to mention, the food you eat is magnificent. I ate there many times and I was always pleased. The expense is modest. I highly suggest this place to my friends and family.

I saw that they had a vegan ramen on their menu, and so decided to order takeout for lunch. It comes in two sizes--I went with the large and it was a very hefty portion. My order was ready in 10 minutes. Nice portion of spinach noodles, decent toppings--though I really would like some greens of some sort. The broth, which can make or break a ramen, was unfortunately quite poor: a total salt bomb (even for ramen) with little-to-no complexity or depth--one of the worst vegan ramen broths I've had. Such a shame. I wanted to like this place. Their portions, pricing, and service are good, but the broth quality means I can't recommend this place, at least for the vegan ramen, with so many other good ramen places in town.

Attentive staff and spacious place in terms of a Ramen spot. I tried Tsukemen and it is soso.

Yah Yah Ya ramen has been a ramen spot that Grayson and I have been frequenting lately. There are a few Yah Yah Ya ramen locations in the Metro Vancouver area but it is originally a chain from Japan. Since it came from Japan, Grayson and I expected a quality bowl of ramen noodles. The Mazesoba is one of our favourites here because it's so flavourful and filling. Unfortunately, this dish only comes in one size but there are more than enough toppings to go around. The toppings include bamboo shoots, ground meat, green onions, bean sprouts, seaweed and a raw egg yolk. We usually end up with lots of extra toppings on the bottom and add another bowl of noodles if we're feeling extra hungry to finish it all up. Otherwise, we just make do with the bowl of rice it comes with. We finally decided to try one of their ramens this time around. We got their shoyu ramen with regular broth, hard noodles and less fat. The broth was still very flavourful despite having less fat in it and the chashu slices it came with were falling apart because of how tender they were. The egg was marinaded well with just the perfect amount of gooeyness in the yolk. It could have done with a few more toppings but it was delicious never the less. More on the blog

This place is one of ramen places we always go to. Tasty and the price is very reasonable. Their large size is really big. Service is always good and the food comes quickly. Waitresses are always very polite and helpful.

The downtown location of yah yah ya ramen! The ramen broth is super creamy and the noodles are nice and bouncy. The chashu isn't the tenderest but still has a smokey, meaty taste. I believe they serve Yokohama style of ramen. The service is always welcoming and friendly. Overall, great food, service for average price!

This is a tiny restaurant in the heart of Robson St. dining district, but it holds its own with any of its nearby competitors. You can choose texture, flavor strength, and oil content, and a myriad of add-ons make your ramen totally customizable and your own unique and tasty creation. Portion sizes were generous especially with large and tender pieces of meat. Highly recommended if you can find it!

This place always has great service, so I won't completely discredit this place. The food is inconsistent. Some times it's fine, other times technicalities get in the way. One time I had undercooked noodles. The time that really got me was when I ordered the black garlic ramen with less salty broth and I got the salt of the black sea. I know Japanese ramen tends to be quite salty to begin with, but this had me almost choking by the end. The broth tasted way too rich. I don't mind the gelatinous stuff, but it felt like I was eating slightly burned garlic pudding that's been heated to a soup. I haven't given up on ramen yet.

Love this place. Great value when ordering the combo on the menu. Ramen is a little bit on the boring side and you can hear occasional microwave from the kitchen. Washroom is clean and no sticky floor in the restaurant. Plenty seating for individuals and groups.

VERY good customer service! Food was amazing and the regular portion of Ramen was more than enough. This place is one of my new favs.
