Cozy decor, attentive service, and beautiful presentation. I think I ordered a vegetable lunch set. The bento box is too cute!

Had the Japanese breakfast set and Hojicha tea, it was all lovely! Freshly prepared with good quality ingredients. Service was very friendly, with a nice cosy vibe inside.

Excellent vibes for a weekend morning. Food was well plated and servers were friendly. Would definitely come back. I had the houjicha roll cake and iced lavender earl grey tea fog. The roll cake was light, fluffy, and its filling was a bit firmer, almost like jello.

Just letting anyone who hasn’t been here before know — it’s only $16.95 + GST.

Expect longer wait times when placing your order.

Staff had a pretty rude attitude, and the place has small tables with a not-so-clean environment.

The cutest and most charming café ever. The interior offers a glimpse into the everyday life of the lovely owner couple, and just when you start to feel relaxed from taking it all in, the food arrives. The portions were smaller than expected, but the taste was absolutely top-notch. I had to leave quickly to get to work, but it was the kind of place I could have stayed in all day. The desserts I took to go were also incredibly delicious. I’m already looking forward to visiting again soon.

I was excited to go here for reportedly authentic Japanese breakfast and brunch. Sadly the food was negatively impacted by the overtly rude behaviour of the owners. With a full (albeit tiny) dining area, I wanted to sit at the small and comically low to the ground “booth” for me and my friend. The only seating available. A single Japanese male had just finished his food there and had just left. Through the translation of the very young server of the female owner’s comments, it was made clear that IF a larger party came in afterwards, we would need to move.. mid visit.. to another table. I inquired why to the server and waited for a back and forth exchange between the two. What the owner did not realise is that although I am Caucasian, I am also fluent in Japanese and made no indication of understanding the several clearly audible rude comments made about me and my polite request. Although the food was authentically Japanese, the behaviour would be considered quite rude by proper Japanese standards. Also, you are required to order and pay for food, at the doorway, before you are seated and eventually eat. Will not be returning and will be explaining this unfortunate visit to my many friends awaiting news of my experience.
To the owners I offer this very wise Japanese idiom.. そのような無礼な態度を取ると、後で礼を失したことを後悔することになりますよ。

So cute everything is good and great family cafe vibes (living-room of a friends house)

So many vegan (and gluten free) meal, snack and treat options! Everything is so fresh and delicious. Clearly made with love and their drink menu is very expansive. The staff were friendly, kind and fast.

Doesn't get much more real than this in Vancouver. The food was delicious AND beautiful.

I dare you to come here and not be charmed.

This is one of the rare spots in Vancouver that genuinely feels warm, welcoming, and rooted in family. The vibe is cozy and personal—sometimes you’ll even see the owners’ kids hanging out at their little table. The brunch presentations are beautiful, and the daifuku? Absolutely divine. Their matcha treats never miss.

Truly one of my all-time favourite places in the city.
