Great food and relaxed atmosphere. Visited this restaurant for the first time on July 31st, 2025.
Delicious and nicely presented spring rolls, followed by very tasty Pad Kee Mao.
Lovely Thai staff.

The food was fine. The servers were very friendly. Unfortunately, we are on vacation trying to relax and enjoy our time of rest - and as we were seated, we were told that we had to be out in 90 minutes. I guess that includes the time you wait to order and then wait to get your food.
This put me right on edge, and I wanted to be sure we were out on time so I didn’t really enjoy my dinner and conversation. I stopped eating and got a box to bring my food home.
The pictures that I saw online don’t really show how small the seating and dining space is. I had pictured a more comfortable spacious place to enjoy my dinner from the angles and lighting of the pictures.

Delicious! Very authentic Thai food — it reminded me of what I had in Thailand. The tom yum soup would’ve been perfect if it were just a bit more sour. The mango sticky rice was absolutely amazing and a must-order. The mango was incredibly sweet!

I would like to call it a Yale Town treasure restaurant. Friends who like Thai food should not miss it! It tastes good, is not expensive, and the ingredients are very particular. Tom Yum soup, basil beef, green curry, etc. are delicious and the pot is full of gas! It is worth recommending to check in!

It Was a pretty good experience. Just one thing I complain about is the fishy Pad Tai. The Pad Thai had a strong fish sauce smell, and the fishy taste spread in my mouth, becoming increasingly intense, making it impossible for me to eat. Although my palate isn’t particularly sensitive, it just didn’t suit my personal taste. The spring rolls and satay skewers were delicious! The server was attentive with water refills

Was recommended to try this place but never got a chance to in person. So we decided to order UberEats.
The crispy pork with hai pan were tough and inedible, I choked at home dried it was. Was it reheated an air fryer then tossed into the vegetable?
The pineapple chicken fried rice was mushy and overly saturated with uneven onion slices.
Pad sew not pictured was a lump of salted noodle clumped together and again too much onions slices.
The only decent thing was the spring rolls.
Literally the worst Thai food we had in a long time.
Would not recommend!

Seafood tom yum was lukewarm and not spicy enough. Fried rice was alright.

While looking for a Thai restaurant in Downtown Vancouver, we came across Zab Zaab in Yaletown and decided to have dinner there because of the many good reviews. The restaurant is nicely designed and the menu includes Thai classics as well as a few specialties. We opted for the Pad Thai and the Green Curry with beef. Both dishes were delicious, well-seasoned, flavorful and fresh! The service was very friendly and attentive, and the prices were absolutely reasonable for the quality offered. We can therefore agree with the other reviews: Zab Zaab serves delicious, authentic Thai cuisine!

Accommodated our peanut allergy.
Came here once a couple months ago and it was pleasant enough. Came back just the other day and was disappointed. Everything was a bit too salty/sweet/sour. Got the tom yum soup and while I had really enjoyed my first few sips, the sourness and saltiness started to overpower everything, to the point where I was drinking water between sips of the soup. Also got the Pla Rad Krik, flavor was good and fish was nicely fried but the sauce was just so sweet. Same with the pad see ew, just so sweet that it became all that I could taste, which is a shame because the other flavors were very nice. Service was alright, they were nice enough throughout the meal but getting a seat was a struggle - they couldn't tell us if the indoor seating was full for the night or just at the moment, and it took a while before they offered us the waitlist to sign up on. They had no estimate on time we would have to wait so we had to gamble it (it was less than 5 minutes).
Dietary restrictions: Can handle peanut allergies
