Food was okay. We also didn’t drink alcohol. Spent $60-70 per person. Would expect better food for this price.
I visited this yakitori restaurant with my wife while on vacation to Vancouver. I had recently visited Japan on a business trip. This restaurant made me feel like I was in Japan again. The atmosphere, service, and food quality were all excellent!
We ordered several meat skewers as well as beer, a mixed drink, and Japanese whisky.
We had a super enjoyable lunch and will definitely stop by again if we are back in Vancouver. Thanks so much to the wonderful staff!
after seeing this place being recommended like 193827474 times on 小红书 i finally decided to give in, and i wish i didn't cuz it was SOOO underwhelming
lets start off with their tuna tartar which just tasted like deconstructed sashimi 2.5/5
then came the zakkushi set skewers for 22$, and each one was like what, 8cm long by 2 cm wide?
botj of the chickens tasted bland even tho there was salt on it 1/5
and the beef was tough, flavourless, yet overpowered by the flavour of radish 0/5
and lastly, the asparagus pork skwer was fine but BLAND ONCE AGAIN 1/5
EVERYTHING TASTED LIKE PURE TOUGH MEAT WITH NO SEASONING EVEN MCDONALDS HAS MORE SEASONING THAN U AHHHH
next off is their squid, cooked to perfection but blander than cactus club 1/5
and to end it of we got their mentaiko udon which was creamy but lowkey bland once again and didnt taste like mentaiko (tho it was visible) 2.8/5
and all this bland food ended up costing like 70$ BRO???? i want my stomach storage BACK
overall 1.5/5
The overall experience was really nice! The staff was lovely which was our first impression and why we came in!
What a surprise when all the food came in! All of it really delicate, flavourful, textures spot on! An incredible experience!
I highly recommend and cannot wait to be back!
(Sorry for the lack of pictures… I just got too excited and didn’t picture it all!)
We went here twice in two days. Food was delicious, but the staff were so genuinely friendly and welcoming! Highly recommend.
We’ve been here several times over the years, but unfortunately, the quality seems to be declining. I still remember being impressed during our first visit three years ago, but this time everything felt just average. Even the rice was undercooked. Given the high prices, not sure we’ll be coming back.
The skewers were really good!
Great service!
Everything was good except prices

My friend recommended to me this amazing restaurant! The food was delicious and service was perfect.
They have so many kinds of kushi, so we ordered 5 kinds of kushi, oden with steamed radish, and salmon sashimi.
The chicken skin kushi was so crispy and the radish was so smoothly juicy. And the sashimi was very fresh.
Also, the ambiance was cozy japanese style. they play famous j-pop.
And the servers are so kind and always smiling. They recommended best menu for me. They serve the food so quickly.
Actually, the price even't expensive! So I recommend this restaurant!

Food was great but expect smaller portions\sizes than many Yakiniku places we tried. Everything was cooked to perfection and flavors/textures were excellent. Small location, very cozy and music a little loud. Recommend making a reservation. Notice not many photos as we wanted to enjoy the meal.

Quality ingredients and great variety on skewers! Polite and friendly service as well.
This is an izakaya style Japanese eatery meaning more of a drinking place with tapas. If you are planning for a meal, ordering carbs/ veggies along with the skewers is recommended. Don’t try to get full with just skewers. Otherwise your dining experience will be skewed and expensive.

I love to dined at Zakkushi Deman with friends and had an incredible experience! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed evening out. The highlight, of course, was the food. The yakitori was grilled to perfection, with each skewer bursting with flavor. I particularly enjoyed the chicken thigh and the pork belly skewers – they were absolutely delicious!
The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The menu had a great variety of options, and everything we tried was fresh and well-prepared. The sake selection was also impressive, complementing the meal perfectly.
Overall, Zakkushi Deman exceeded my expectations. It’s a fantastic spot for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine in a warm and welcoming setting. Highly recommend!
