I live around the corner and eat here frequently but never left a review. Food never disappoints and the staff is amazing! Most staff recognize me now but even before I was a regular they were always friendly and provide great service. Every time my beer is almost empty someone is asking me if I want another. Would recommend this place to anyone

We loved Zakkushi! The service, the atmosphere, the food, everything! The chefs have so much fun and make the best food. Bar has a shared bench seat too so great to snuggle on our date night. My husband was pushed out of his comfort zone and everything was perfect. Would highly recommend for amazing fresh Japanese food.

Very tasty with an excellent ambiance and friendly staff. Skewers are cooked in front of you if you sit at the bar and the smell of charcoal fills the air. Protein-centric skewers are hard to fill up on without breaking the bank if you have a large appetite like myself but I may have made the mistake of not getting the rice balls to supplement all the skewers. Nonetheless, well worth it for the flavor and atmosphere

Excellent Dinner Spot Had a great dinner here—no reservation meant a one-hour dinner limit, but it was worth it. Not cheap, but absolutely delicious—especially the premium skewers. Fairly authentic and really tasty.

First time here! Yakitori were very juicy and well done. I liked how the grilled rice ball was perfectly crisp without tasting burnt. I didn’t care for the calpico sour. Servers were really nice and attentive especially when we needed water refills.

The moment you walk in, you’ll smell that amazing charcoal aroma - the atmosphere alone wins half the battle.
The chef’s skills are top-notch, with every skewer grilled to perfection. Chicken wings, beef, pork - everything is incredibly juicy, especially when paired with their special sauce. You literally can’t stop eating! My personal favorite is their “signature chicken cartilage” - perfectly crispy yet flavorful.
Prices are on the higher side, but the quality absolutely justifies the cost. Perfect for special occasions or when you want to treat yourself. The environment is comfortable with friendly staff, and they won’t rush you to leave. Most customers are Mandarin speakers, giving it an authentic feel of those tourist-focused Japanese restaurants. They accept Alipay and WeChat Pay for added convenience! Best time to visit is evening - pair it with a cold beer, chat with friends, and the vibe is absolutely perfect!
Next time you’re craving yakitori, remember this place! Guaranteed you’ll want to come back for more.

So. Good. Sat right at the Bar by the Grill itself so we definitely had an entertaining view with the delicious aromatics surrounding us. We got the Grilled Squid, as well as a random assortment of the Yakitori, and they were all well-flavoured, varying and perfectly cooked. The Agedashi Tofu was also stunning, and the Drinks were dangerously delicious!! Would and Will 100% go back!!!

Staff was nice but seriously I got 6 pieces of the tiniest piece fish I have ever seen for over $20 bucks. Come on ridiculous

Food was okay. We also didn’t drink alcohol. Spent $60-70 per person. Would expect better food for this price.
