I love zakkushi for their delicious skewers but I’m disappointed that with the new menu they no longer serve duck which was my favorite and the smelt, also so good. I also feel thier selection is sochu is reduced. The new menu is so much smaller I’m a little sad. 少し悲しいです

It was so good at first But the group asked if they had suddenly finished eating between the bathrooms. I heard you're done eating, so I asked you what you're going to pay.You guys made a mistake Before we talk about it first, it sounds like you're told to get out. There was an hour I tried to pay when the party came back. But I couldn't wait for 2 minutes and ruined my dinner time. You guys are the worst.thks :)

Hands down, best izakaya place in Vancouver. Love the cozy atmosphere! It absolutely reminds me of the Izakayas in Roppongi Hills and the food has all the authentic ingredients used in Japan with consistent quality and taste. The only thing is the cost has gone up after COVID but it’s understandable because of the negative setbacks it had on businesses! I would recommend coming here for a date night or party; overall, a great and fun place to go to.

The most authentic Izakaya I have visited in North America, even to the smells and ambience of the entire place. It executes the food and drinks brilliantly without trying too hard. Perfect place to unwind. I ordered a few of the staples Yakitori items and paired it with Coedo beer. And then ordered some takowasa and more beer to finish the meal off! So good!

The skewers were so flavorful and delicious!! I was obsessed with their premium cuts. They were super tender and loaded with umami flavors. The vegetable skewers were nice to balance out with the fatty cuts.
