Their sauces are fantastic . I had the salad and didnt need dressing because the garlic sauce was a perfect substitute. The portions are great . Food arrived so hot . They didn’t toast the pita making it limp. No one likes limp pita . The pickled vegetables in the salad were a delicious surprise .

This is a 3.5 star review. The experience was typical of most Vancouver Shawarma/Donair place. The rice and vegetables are okay and the meat was a touch dry. What makes it good are the sauces they put on the platter. It's a decent place to go to if one is craving a Shawarma.

What kind of establishment is this? Pita in a plastic right next to hot food being cooked. (See my picture attached) The plastic is going to disintegrate and get into the food. How can an establishment not have any common sense and regard for customer safety?

We drive up and down Kingsway daily but only noticed Zamzam a couple of weeks ago while sitting in traffic. We made it a point to go there last night (Saturday at about 6pm). We ordered one chicken shawarma wrap and one chicken plate. The restaurant was clean and the staff were extremely friendly. There were 3 staff behind the counter, all of them smiling, joking with us, talkative and friendly. Our order was to go, that was a mistake because our car smelled so good we almost pulled over to consume the food! We got home and in our opinion, the food was fantastic! We will be back again. Zamzam also provides a stamp card for free shawarma after 10 stamps! Wish we had come by sooner. :)
