I must acknowledge my role in this situation – I usually bring my lunch and eat breakfast at home to avoid the overpriced and subpar options near VGH. However, due to assisting my niece with a project until 3 AM, I found myself lacking the time and energy to prepare a meal.In the past, this place, formerly owned by an Asian family, offered decent egg muffins. However, with new ownership came increased prices, prompting me to avoid the establishment, except for the occasional coffee. Despite my personal boycott of Starbucks, limited food choices at VGH led me to give the breakfast sandwich here a chance, assuming it would maintain the previous owner's quality.Regrettably, the reality was far from my expectations. The egg sausage English sandwich I ordered was not only overpriced at $6 but also turned out to be the most rancid and nauseating food I've ever consumed. The unpleasant aftertaste has lingered for over an hour. While I understand that new owners might seek to recover their investment, raising prices is one thing; serving what tastes like rotten food is another. Previous owners achieved years of providing edible and decent-tasting options. Unfortunately, the recent experience has left me with serious concerns about the current quality.I don't anticipate fine dining, but I do expect something at least palatable and reminiscent of the previous owner's offerings. Given the severe disappointment and impact on my well-being, I've decided to refrain from visiting this establishment in the future. My health and satisfaction deserve better.

change of owner, unfortunately not the same or near as great as it used to be
The service is always excellent but the food is very mediocre. I got a breakfast wrap which said it has hashbrowns. Not sure if in the warp or separate. I did not get any. The meat was also extremely salty.

Nice people, interesting snacks and lunch items. Fast and efficient too.
Very overpriced, quality is mediocre. Unfortunately have had a number of off-item from here. If you are looking for lunch/coffee while stuck at VGH a short walk to Broadway is very much worthwhile for other options.
TJ and his team is amazing! Food is always fresh!! Rice, noodles and paninis!!! I wanted to try their quesadilla but it is very popular that i always wasn’t able to get one ? one of my go to lunch!!!
Excellent experience. Great product and service. We will be back.
Too busy playing on her computer than helping customers. You get way better service at Starbucks around the corner

Worst customer service. Saddest looking sandwich - with only 3 small strips of chicken that didn’t cover the size of the bread.I’ve been to the cafe 2-3 times in the last couple years and have greatly regretted it every time. I’ve been told that this place has lost a lot of its integrity - most likely due to a new owner.Working across the street, it would be nice if somewhere so conveniently located would be worth spending money on.
food was great but the girl who made my sandwhich was absolutely horrible. visably sighing and rolling her eyes at me..I've never eaten there before we are in the building for my husbands transplant already feeling uneasy and to have someone act like that made a bad situation worse... I just asked if they had a specific bread she was upset that I asked ..so I was like no worries picked my bread. she asked if I wanted cheese I said white please. sighed and rolled her eyes. when. she asked if I wanted veggies I asked if.i could get the lettuce put on after its grilled then she was just a mega b!tch! I will never go there again which is unfortunate because I really enjoyed the sandwhich!
Used to be: Best food around. Now not so much. New owners let the original cook go and now the food isn't as good. I skip it all together now and go for the sushi hut. Too bad for them. When you are in the business of selling food, it's important to serve the food people like.
While waiting for an appointment, my husband and I indulged in a muffin and coffee. I had the Turmeric Latte which I savoured every sip to the last drop. Best coffee I've ever had. The muffin was delicious too and the staff were great. Wish we had a Zookaz Kaffee in Edmonton!
Ordered chicken rice. I can see only 7 pieces of chicken which are similar to my pinky nail size. Cost $11 and it's terrible.
