This restaurant is serving authentic Thai food. They have great menu, friendly staff, good serving size (some can be shared by 2) and overal, value for money. They also have beer!
If you are looking for an intimate spot for private conversations or date night perhaps, this could be it. The place looks old, bit dark and not accessible by wheelchair as it is found upstairs.

I have been searching years for an authentic Thai restaurant ever since our beloved Lhy Thai in Burnaby closed down. It seems I finally found it...in Vernon!

Very friendly service. Decor is tasteful and well done. But the most important part...the food was stunning. I daresay the equivalent of what I remember from Lhy Thai.

I had the Pad Gra Paow. Chicken stir fried with various veggies and basil. Purchased steamed rice separately.

The veggies were fresh, chicken was cooked perfectly and cut correctly and the flavor of sauce it was cooked in was balanced perfectly as only a true Thai chef is capable of doing. Whoever is in the kitchen knows their business, and knows it well.

Another recommendation I would give is to ask for the house made hot sauce. Perfectly tangy and spicy. Compliments the dish oh so well and does not overpower it.

I truly wish this restaurant was in the Lower Mainland where I live. If it was, I would definitely be a regular. This place should be a lot more busy for dinner than it was. It's a true gem.

the food is very good but today we ordered takeout, paid the same money but found when we got home and opened our meals that there was half the amount we would get when we ate in. very disappointed because we love the food. would not recommend take out again

The food is always amazing and fresh! You can tell they use quality ingredients and put live into every single meal.
The service is friendly and accommodating.
The location does desperately need an overhaul though.

Pad Thai, green curry with chicken, #24 with beef and coconut rice for 2 people.
The absolute best order! Highly recommend!

This resteraunt put prawns on my order after i told them I was allergic and asked if there was any shelfish the curries. I was assured they do not use shelfish in any of their curries, so i would be safe. Fast forward to dinner, I opened the container my husband brought home(1/2hr away from resteraunt), and in the chicken pad tai there's prawns! We ordered from here on Feb 27,2025. It was my birthday and I couldn't eat the dish. When I called to tell them about this they offered me 10% off my next order.....like I'm gonna give them another chance to poison me?! I asked for a replacement next time I came to town but nope not an option. DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES THEY DO NOT TAKE IT SERIOUSLY.

The Boa-Thong Thai restaurant has been a Vernon staple for decades and is well loved by locals. On our last visit my girlfriend and I shared the Hang Pak Ruammit yellow Thai curry in coconut milk and coconut rice, mildly spiced and delicious. No tap beers but I always love a Singha, which reminds me of the original Heineken lager. The owners and staff are hands-on and very accommodating of any special needs of their patrons.

Fantastic Thai food. Definitely a favourite in Vernon for very good reason.
They also have jewellery made by family in Thailand that they sell at the counter.

Ive been going here since i was a kid and it always hits so hard i couldn’t recommend this place enough i recommend the cashew chicken its my favourite

You enter off Main Street and make your way up the stairs. The interior is dated with green carpet and red and green furniture reminiscent of the late 1970s with the accompanying musty food smell that comes with old places. It is a large dining room but not very busy at 1:20pm. They open for lunch until 2pm, close, then open for dinner at 4:30. We order 2 Lunch combo menu items at $13 plus either an eggroll or chicken satay and a drink for $5 more. Service was quick and friendly. Delivery of our meals was super fast and very hot. We found the chicken in both our meals overcooked but the sauces tasty. The egg roll was excellent. The shrimp perfect. The chicken satay was overcooked but good flavour. However, while the pad tai was good, the other dish was swimming in sauce. Portion was good. Price was excellent. We would come back to try the other dishes but this is not a restaurant I would put on my crave worthy restaurant list.
