Dropped off the boys at field of screams and had a couple hours to fill. Myself and wifey landed on Cabana. Walking into the vernon lodge we were a little lost, front desk staff was super kind and directed us. The ambience and atmosphere is different and very refreshing has a nice warm feeling to it. The open concept was a nice touch. We were greeted by Darrel and given a couple options for seating. Our server Hailey was super friendly and accommodating. Very good gluten free options. Drinks were top notch. Thanks Darrel. Will be back. 10/10.

Everything was 10/10 amazing time well spent with the ones I loved. Took my dad out for dinner tonight for his birthday and cannot get over how good our servers were, both Daryl and Hailey knew exactly what we needed. Highly recommend. They never missed a beat. Super friendly and interactive. Best experience I’ve had in a very long time.

I grew up in Vernon and remember being taken to the Vernon lodge for my thirteenth birthday celebration. Whenever I came to visit my mom before she passed I would take her to the Vernon lodge as a special treat. I was excited to take my husband there for a special nostalgic meal. The atmosphere is awesome but the food was horrific. The prices and menu read as if it would be quality fine dining, the food was worse than what I’d expect at an airport.

If you come, just order a beer or wine and enjoy the room. The food tastes like it was made by someone who hates their life and their job, possibly hates food as well.

We had an amazing experience here this weekend. The atmosphere is lovely and the food was great. What made our experience so amazing was our server, Nicole. She was so helpful and attentive. Nicole was lovely to speak with and had a great sense of humour. My 5 year old son loved her and so did we. We will definitely be back

Dropped in for a beer last night. Bar and restaurant both busy. One guy (Anu) working by himself, covering three jobs: serving, bartending, and bussing. Poor management to schedule one person to cover all positions. Give Anu a raise. And hire/schedule more staff. Anu worked his socks off without complaint while fully taking care of everyone, with a smile on his face. Bravo, Anu.

10/10 Darrell is a fantastic host. Food was splendid and the atmosphere in the atrium was great. A good host is important, Darrell made us feel welcome immediately, cracking jokes and helping us settle in with our toddler. Very accommodating, welcoming and warm, a very memorable dinner. We dined at Cabana last Friday, August 29, 2025. We ordered the Zuericher, the restaurant's version of the Swiss Zürcher Geschnetzeltes, a dish consisting of diced veal loin in a sour cream-mushroom sauce served over Spätzle. When the Zuericher was served, it contained a large amount of onions, although the menu did not mention this in its description of the dish. My wife informed our waiter, Darryl, that I have an allergy to all kinds of onions, as I was away from the table when the food was delivered. Darryl immediately took the dish back and informed the chef, who redid the Zuericher without onions specially for us, which we greatly appreciated. The Zuericher was delicious and very true to the first time I had tasted the dish in Zermatt, Switzerland in 1982. Darryl provided exceptional service throughout the meal and made us feel especially welcome. He was both efficient and friendly, and attended to our every wish. We highly recommend Cabana when you're in the Okanagan and intend to return once more before we leave for home. We hope you'll enjoy Cabana as much as we did, and that you will have the chance to meet Darryl while there.

Went for dinner with my spouse. Darrel was great, witty and very charming. The food was delicious, and the kitchen can accommodate allergies very well. The ambience was nice and calming. We left happy, full bellies, and a warm hearted farewell from Darrel at the end. Thank you Darrel and staff for giving us an awesome experience 😄
