I decided not to count this as my 206th eatery in Vernon. I have put this in the market category.
I had never been here before.
I bought a $5 tin of mashed potatoes. It was $5 after tax.
They had frozen cabbage rolls, chili, lasagna, garlic bread, etc. They also had a gigantic electronic menu board for making requests.
They also had a fridge for a couple soda flavors. It would've been funny to come in here and buy a soda.
Feel free to stop by and check it out.
P.S. My mashed potatoes tasted fine.
Home for Dinner has been a great option for home cooked meals for Mom. The single portions are just the right size for her. Hubby and I have also got a few things for those days when we just don't feel like cooking. Everything has been delicious and reasonably priced. I recommend the bake able lasagna, it's outstanding!! Thank you to them for this wonderful option for healthy meals! Also I need to mention the great staff members, all are very pleasant .
The Food is very good

Stopped in to buy my mom chicken noodles soup when she was sick. She loved her soup. Will be back for other meals
Food so Awesome tastes like my Moms cooking, recommend for any family's or Seniors meals. I'll definitely be in to buy some more.
Great inexpensive Food.
great food, i keep my freezer stocked with meatlove you never know when youre gonna need it
This place has fed my non-cooking mother for two decades. It’s also pretty tasty. 5 stars.
Got the fresh butter chicken meal with ricefor dinner and loved it . Lots of chicken and if you want more sauce add a little water or broth as it is quite thick. Pricing was great at $10
Ordered Thanksgiving dinner. Super happy! Friendly staff, fair pricing, good food. My fussy family was happy and enjoyed the food. We will be back!

Trying to decide between giving this a 2 or a 3. I decided to try a few dishes so that I'd have a balanced meal on nights I didn't feel like cooking. The Salisbury steak dinner was quite good (I'd consider purchasing again). The turkey dinner actually tasted fishy and went into the trash. The hearty lasagna is lumpy as though cottage cheese was just added in a layer. The flavor of the lasagna is just okay. I'd also included a few chicken burritos in my order for fun and they were terrible. I would describe the filling as a few pieces of chicken drenched in lousy ketchup. Straight into the trash. I wouldn't recommend anything but the Salisbury steak.
I was given a gift card for this place and I tried a couple items from the menu. A bit on the pricey side, but if you are someone who doesn't cook or doesn't have the time it's a decent option. Make sure to follow the instructions on the label though if you want it to turn out nice. The Spanakopitas are good.
Roast beef dinner was really good, but the kernel corn was old tasting and tough
Excellent customer service and the food is fabulous
