also 7.25 for coors lite is getting steep also . The Wednesday 13$ burger and glass of beer is a great deal and burgers are always good Sometimes service is outstanding other times its "hey does anyone work here" so for reasons unknown good service seems hit and miss at times ;; I go to LHP for just beers as 20 ounce pint not 18 like kal is still $5.50

Since the new owners took over, things have been going downhill. The menu sucks now, lots of fan favorite foods have been removed, plus the food quality has gone down. It needs to go back the way it was. The only few good things left, are the servers and the drinks.

Eight of us visited the Kal on Saturday afternoon for eats and refreshments. The service was very good, the food was very good but the wings and the burger were not hot by the time they got to our table. Also we noted that several flavors of wings have been eliminated from the menu and the pizza menu has also been reduced, particularly the Thia-chicken and the perogy pizza were gone. The Thia-chicken pizza was one of our favorites and our main reason for going to the Kal. Probably not going to rush back any time soon. New owners seen to be trying to destroy what the previous owner and built up. Will it kill you to bring these things back??

We were there on the 30th Aug with friends. We were very disappointed that they had taken the Thai chicken pizza off their menu..As far as we were concerned that was one of the best pizzas on their menu. Not sure we will be back...the new owners should be a ashamed...

My husband and I love the kal and the servers are great. We are a bit upset that they have removed the daily soups and the perogies off there menu. What's next there pizzas. Otherwise the food there is awesome.

We've been loyal patrons of The Kal for years and it just keeps getting better. From incredible food (you have to try the tacos and dessert – see pics!) to the welcoming atmosphere and great service, it's always a solid experience.
Bonus: we also have the pleasure of doing their apparel , and we can confidently say – they rock it inside and out! The Kal isn't just a local legend, it’s a piece of Vernon history done right. Highly recommend.

I had the club sandwich and it was excellent. Not too much or too little of anything. I took half the sandwich home and had it for lunch today. 30 seconds in the microwave and it was delicious even as a leftover. I would for sure go back. Our server was absolutely awesome as well. A good experience all around.

Visited on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. There are great gluten free options on the menu; gluten free buns for burgers, two sizes of pizza crust, the usual salad selection. Our server quickly helped me pick out the chicken brie burger with a side of mixed greens. There are wings on the menu but no dedicated fryer means cross contamination so nope. Hubby had the turkey club. Turkey club has real turkey in it, not deli sliced which is refreshing. My burger was delicious; the chicken was not oversized but beautifully cooked and seasoned. I liked the cranberry in the sauce. Importantly the bun did not fall apart; a sturdy gluten free bun is hard to find. The salad had cranberries, pecans, tomatoes, arugula and cucumber and I would have it again. This dining room is 19+ and I appreciated seeing a staff member dealing kindly but firmly with a young couple who were unable to produce two pieces of identification. Drinks were on - par with other establishments and we didn't have to wait long for refills. This is a true sports bar with speakers hanging off the walls, keno numbers on the screen in the corner and a pull tab machine and ATM. I imagine game night could be rambunctious and fun if you're into that sort of thing. Overall would visit again. I was happy with my burger. Maybe pizza next time?

go there a lot sometimes the service to get started in the family section can be slow, but foods good, happy hour prices are very reasonable , service and food overall is great 98% of the time my 4 star service rating is not 100% true some are like 6 stars and the odd 3 star

I guess a sports and hangout bar is just not me. I found it immensely noisy, so much so that it was quite difficult to hear conversation even from the other side of my table. The pizza was great. The tocos, nothing any better than a fast food joint. The service was excellent.
