Lunch Matters... Breakfast Too

Old style diner atmosphere with lots of old historic pictures on walls. Comfortable table seating, and rarely ever a wait.

Good service and friendly staff.
I think this is the best breakfast place in. Vernon. Very reasonable prices and good fresh hot food.

On the main highway but has a parking lot directly behind the building.

Give it a try and I don’t think you will be disappointed.

First time in Vernon and very impressed!

This establishment is a hidden gem, conveniently located on the main highway, and just a short walk from any parking spot. Its a unique cafe that I believe is often overlooked. The interior is adorned with vintage photographs, evoking a sense of nostalgia, and features retro tables and chairs. The food is both affordable and delicious. While it is only open for breakfast and lunch, it is certainly a place worth visiting. We will definitely be returning.

We had a large crowd on a busy Sunday but they found room for us and everyone got their food/drinks in a timely manner, server constantly checked in to refill and ask us how our food was. Food was great, big portions, fresh, and tasty and prices were affordable. Well done!

Heard great things about Lunch Matters, brought my parents who were visiting from Vancouver and we all enjoyed our breakfast and wonderful service from Summer!

Ordered the steak and eggs. The steak was med rare, I ordered, but was so tough I couldn't eat it. My husband was well done and ordered med rare. The hash browns were dry and very crisp. The poached eggs tasted like vinegar.
Very disappointing because we had eaten here last year and enjoyed this same meal.

I haven't been to this place in over 10 years, and they are still the best, i just rediscovered my favorite weekend breakfast stop, i had the house eggs benny, they have a hollandaise sauce like none that i havent tasted since my dad made it when i was a child, hands down, I will be here every week from now on

Two of us left with containers and a 2nd satisfying meal. The meatball sub, with homemade meatballs, was amazing, but I filled up in my potato-leek soup first. It was a Saturday lunch and a Sunday dinner for me.
My wife's order had a mistake, and they were very quick to correct it. We all loved our meals and how much the serving staff took care of things! If we ever pass through Vernon again, we'll be back! We've also recommended it to friends & family nearby! A must-see place for sure!

it was alright, but the breading on the chicken threw me off alot. Tasted much like shrimp was used? Like the kind of breading on popcorn shrimp. Gave me a whole bottle of pepsi which was honestly great, isn't very expensive and the waitress is extremely kind. The fries were very crispy and well cooked. I would give 5 stars but the other people were very judgy. I got weird looks from other people. Restuarant was full of old people which necessarily wouldn't be a problem but it was JUST old people, and they gave me dirty looks. Overall, would go back! Just maybe won't get chicken next time. Also, hard to find parking. Had to walk 2 blocks to get to the restuarant.
