Recently I needed a gift basket for a friend who lives in Vernon (I am in Ontario), I was looking for a pizza-themed basket as the friend had just received a pizza oven. After a brief email to inquire if they make baskets, the manager was quick to respond saying they would be happy to help me out. A few emails back and forth to work out details, and I was sent a photo of the completed basket with everything I wanted and more included. Apparently the gift basket, including several of their meat and cheese delicacies, was an absolute hit, and I was very pleased that I chose Mediterranean Market for my special gift!

We were really disappointed in our experience here today. We went into the market to get one of their fresh deli sandwiches for lunch. We took a number and waited our turn. Once we were called and started having our sandwich made, my partner asked if we could just have all of the meat on one side of the sandwich. The staff member said “No, because that’s two sandwiches then.” We just explained we wanted everything else the same but to just place all of the meat on one half. We’d even accept half the meat. But she said “no, it’s policy”. Her attitude was very rude. To be honest, she was rude from the very start of making our sandwich seeming like we were inconveniencing her by asking for this. We could’ve just had her make the sandwich her way and then removed the meat on one half ourselves. But at that point we were just annoyed that she wouldn’t accommodate this super simple request. So we left. As we were leaving, another staff member overheard us talking about it, and we explained our request. She said “what, that’s ridiculous she wouldn’t do that.” We had this exchange as we were walking out the door. She didn’t offer to rectify the problem for us. She was walking over to the deli, I’m guessing to speak with the other staff member about this as we walked out the door.We also frequent the Mediterranean market in Kelowna and they do this for us every time. I could understand not wanting to make two completely different halves on the sandwich. But all we asked for was for all the meat just to be placed on one side. And she said it’s against policy. That is a completely ridiculous policy.We won’t be returning to this store.

I want to give this place a good review, great selection and most of the staff are extremely friendly. But please try and improve your customer service, I felt like I was being reprimanded by the Owner because of asking help from an other staff member. I appreciate you have your ways of operating your business, but giving your customers a smile and making them feel welcome goes such a long way. Thankyou

I have been a customer for awhile since moving to Okanagan and this Med Market and the staff is an amazing find. There is nothing the staff wouldn't do for you, always time to talk with a customer and answer questions and help with ideas!!Not to mention the vast quantities of all European products and pasta, and the cheese selection....and more. So glad to have this specialty store with the special staff.

This is a favourite store of ours. Their selection is fantastic, their staff friendly and it's located in a great place with parking. We always make a point to pop in when we're in Vernon and load up like the apocalypse is happening.
Great little deli, awesome mixed meat section, fantastic prices.. They have cheeses, too. Many different kinds of European items, pasta, coffee, sauces, and there are large assortments.Staff is always really friendly.They only take cash or debit, and there are no charge cards. I highly recommend this market.

Mediterranean Market was my 85th eatery and café I visited in Vernon as I continue my quest to eat at all 54 remaining eateries and cafés in Vernon.It was my first time here. This shop feels like it has been around in Vernon forever.I was surprised by the meat and cheese selection. As someone who has been to 63 countries and seen the Mediterranean Sea from seven of them, I was pleasantly surprised they could live up to the name.I bought a large sub. The woman behind the counter asked if I wanted it spicy or mild. Then she took care of the rest.The sub came to $10.50 after tax. It wasn't packed with the most ingredients, but I didn't really request anything specific either.All of the employees were extremely friendly. This makes up for the local prices found at this shop.I don't know if I will be back here again, but I wouldn't recommend a sub. I think buying their selections of cheese is a much better idea.Overall, I recommend giving this place a visit.86 complete. 54 more to go!

I love this store. They have so much to choose from. Knax pickles and the Macedonian Feta are delicious. So many deli meats and cheeses as well.It's just an overall great selection of everything.
