We like to stop at OHKIM for sushi whenever we are in Vernon. This last trip (Feb 2025) we ordered a variety of items that were served quickly. The sushi was good but not as good as previous visits. As others have pointed out, they add a lot of sauces that tend to mask the natural flavors somewhat.
Service is friendly and attentive. Atmosphere is simple but clean. Still a good option for sushi as the prices are very competitive and economical.

I came in for lunch with friends and the staff were very sweet and the food was brought out quickly, but it wasn’t the best Sushi I’ve had. The eel in one of my rolls was slightly fishy and the rice was dried out and didn’t seem fresh. Other than that the food was fine.

WOW. This is easily my favourite sushi place in Vernon. I moved here from Vancouver last year and I was worried I wouldn't find good sushi out here. This is my go-to place. The Smokey Roll is absolutely incredible and so are the other rolls I've tried. The beef yakisoba is one of the best I've ever had, and doesn't hurt your wallet as much as other places here. The Bento boxes are delicious, I just wish the roll included atleast 6 pieces. The tempura sauce is the best ever. And not only that, the staff are so warm, always with smiles, always getting you everything you need quickly. Might be the best customer service in any restaurant. Treat your customers right with warmness and delicious food, and it works! I keep coming back!
