My latest experience with Phoenix steak house is good. This is not the first time visiting this steak house. However, I found the meal was less than perfect this time. Here are two things making my meal less than perfect: 1. I ordered a striploin steak with medium well. However, my steak got bit overcooked. I expected finding pink of the meat when I cut the steak but there wasn't any. The steak is still juicy. 2. I have a chocolate mousse for my dessert. The mousse was tasted good. Its sweetness is right. Personally I don't like my dessert too sweet. However, the problem is the cherry on the top of the mousse. The colour of the pinky red cherry makes it like artificial. It tastes too sweet. It looks like the cherry is being immersed into sugar for a while. I'm wondering whether putting the cherry on the top of the mousse.

We had an appy and meal and enjoyed it. They had happy hour specials including drinks that made it reasonable. Our waitress Megan, was observant, helpful and friendly.

I had a great dinner as did most of my other companions. One complains mightily, always, and that was likely my last time going out to dinner with him. Frankly, he's embarrassing and rude to restaurant staff. Decades on the go. Unfortunately he did a number on our poor waitress. Mgmt was great and I sincerely hope our waitstaff did not pay the price.

The waitress was rude and never asked how our food was, and my very expensive steak was very poorly cooked. There was no sear, and the flavour was below average.

Food and service were excellent! As usual. Our favourite upscale dining place in Vernon. The outdoor rooftop patio is a fantastic place to sip on the incredibly delicious bar drinks!

Chicken Oscar was amazing! I ordered RibEye because it's known for being tasty! Lots of marbling. My steak was not flavorful. My veggies were overcooked. The potatoes were amazing! I would have sent it back but didn't want to offend the lady with us who recommended. My husband even ate the rest of my steak for appearances. Too bad! Had great potential! Great atmosphere! And amazing service!
Amazing experience here! Our server evan was so knowledgeable and friendly, he made us feel welcome without being overbearing. The restaurant has a great ambiance and as someone with celiac disease they have so many gluten free options!! Truly a great dining experience.

I love our dishes (Beef NY). Well served, fresh vegetables, lovely service. We were there for our 16th anniversary. For dessert (a fabulous cheesecake), they surpr my wife with and spontaneous extra. The restaurant is an elegant old building from the early 20th century, located in downtown Vernon, BC. It's the kind of place I like. We were in the second level.

This was only my second time dining in Vernon and my first time at Phoenix Steakhouse. I drove out from Lake Country with my mom to celebrate my 10-year anniversary of being free from cancer. I have also been scoping out places to bring friends and was hoping to add this place to my list. We were expecting pleasant service and great food, based on the Google reviews. My salmon meal was really good, the ambience was nice, but the staff were visibly stressed, and my mom and I both felt it immediately. I ordered a vodka soda, and it tasted no different than my water. My mom's chicken meal was tiny and overcooked. We really wanted to love this restaurant and enjoy our time, but unfortunately it's highly unlikely we'll go back.
