Fantastic Sushi and very good Ramen. We typically order this in and it travels well. Highly recommend Akemi if you are looking for sushi in Langford.

I was very excited to try this restaurant, as it came recommended by a friend. I ordered for takeout the Rolling boat for two which was listed as $50 on the Google menu. I picked it up and to my surprise it was $68 a bit of a jump given what had seen on the menu. I was told that that was an old menu and that prices had changed. How was I to know, based on the Google images and the menu listed that the menu prices have changed. This was my first time visiting the restaurant. The manager told me that there was nothing they could do to reduce the price or remove items to do so. I didn’t feel like the manager was being very courteous about the situation given it was my first experience of the restaurant. I decided I would just pay for the food. It was pretty good. I just wanted to let people know that some prices in the images and on the Google menu are much lower/outdated, but you won’t know that until you get to pay in store.

the customer service was not good, food portions and variety is not there and overly priced; an appetizer green salad that had just iceberg lettuce, few slices of cucumber and some shredded carrots was $11where as for that same price at any other sushi place they would also include avocados, greens and tomatoes. Worst of all when we told the server we are not happy with the salad and its lacking ingredients she just shrugger and said indifferently “thats how we do salad, each restaurant does it differently” and when I asked for avocado they charged me extra for it. Sashimi pieces are cut thinly. Felt like they are just trying to cut corners to cheap out on ingredients and portions even though they are quite pricey. We were really disappointed with Akemi.

It takes forever to wait for the waiter to come and take your order, and the same amount of time to wait for the food. The restaurant is probably overloaded with online orders. But then hire more kitchen staff. A couple of years ago, the portions were bigger. I always order seafood upon, this time the white fish was half the size. But there was twice as much cabbage. Overall, the food is good. The restaurant's specialty is the mochi ice-cream dessert. But I would like to see improvements to the above problems.
Amazing for takeout and amazing for dining in. My go-to sushi place and restaurant in general!! Can’t praise this place enough

Large restaurant with lots of seating, and we were able to walk right in. Our server came over quickly to get a drink order, which we received quickly. We were not ready to order, so she said she would return and never did. Eventually, another server realized we had been forgotten and took our order. Their menu is fairly extensive, but our food was just okay, absolutely no WOW factor except for our grandson's Mochi covered ice cream. He was thrilled with it. There was nothing innovative on the menu, like using cucumbers or zucchini in place of rice. The only reason I knew I was eating a california roll was because I was looking at it! It's not a great recommendation.
