We love the food and friendly staff at Akemi Sushi! We would usually go dine or order online at leat twice a month. One of the best Japanese restaurant in Langford or Greater Victoria.
Look, I absolutely love this place! I eat here almost twice a week because it’s phenomenal sushi! I live downtown but it’s worth the drive! I always get the Akemi roll (it has real crab) and my fiancée gets the beef teriyaki bento box we ALWAYS split the baked scallops so definitely try it out, it’s what we crave most! Their steak sauce is great over rice, don’t miss out and try this place :)

Almost 2 hr wait for our food. I get there are busy times but 2 hrs is a bit long
I am extremely disappointed with the food. I came home all excited to enjoy some sushi rolls with my daughter, only to be absolutely disgusted to the point where I had to spit it out; I couldn’t even choke it down. The rolls were warm (as if they had been in a warmer), clearly too much vinegar was used when making the rice because it was super noticeable, and the amount of Avocado they crammed into the rolls was more than a little much. It was a mouthful of WARM MUSH that had been doused in vinegar. I’ve never experienced bad sushi in my life, I didn’t know it was possible - but I just wasted $60 on 4 rolls of whatever that was.Maybe they need a new sushi chef? ?♀️
