What’s the Argyle Attic? I Ubered in Victoria an entire 109 days in a row. Smiths capped off most Friday and Saturday nights with a hazy IPA and a pepperoni. Thanks!

Rented the attic to run a trivia night with Think Tank for my partner's birthday. The booking process was easy and friendly, the food was great, and the space was perfect. I don't think we made a single request that they didn't find some way to accommodate.Definitely recommend for something similar.

Closed except for private events. Generally yelp's Victoria listings are a little out of date

If you are every looking for a private event space in downtown Victoria, I would seriously recommend you consider the Argyle Attic.Back at the beginning of July, I was looking for a venue to host a post-engagement surprise party. Since it was Canada Day long weekend, not a lot of venues were taking reservations for larger parties. I reached out to Smiths Pub and Barry, their GM, informed me that they'd be able to host us in the Argyle Attic. From the pre-event communication and coordination to the actual execution of the event - the entire event experience was superb.Barry provided me with a plethora of food options and even went above and beyond and let me know he'd create some custom cocktails based on my (now) financé's preferences (smoked marg was a hit!). When the event actually took place, I couldn't have been happier with the space: there is a private/dedicated bar, lots of room to walk around (or sit down), and very comforting pub-esque decor. The food was fantastic (would recommend the corndogs - yes, the corndogs). The bartenders (Sarah and team) were absolute rockstars - they brought a ton of energy and even kept the bar open past close.I'd like to thank the entire Smiths Pub/ Argyle Attic team for going above and beyond and making our engagement party a night to remember.I look forward to future events here!J

Finally went I here, had excellent quality of service, albeit slow, but all restaurants are understaffed here lately. Had the Chicken Katsu sandwich on sourdough, and it was super yummy. The server suggested a very tasty new beer for me to try, thankfully.

Wonderful semi-secret Whisky Bar! Tucked away above Smith's Pub the Attic is a cozy, intimate spot to smoke local, Canadian, and international whiskys.Well recommended!

I was tempted to not review this place because I love it so much I want to keep it secret.. But that would be doing it a disservice! Very quiet. Very cozy. Nice pub food and booze menu. Great for place to gather with friends and not scream over the music to the person beside you.Even has breakfast! Haven't had a chance to try that but would like to one day

Poutine tots with cheese curds, hollandaise sauce and pulled pork was pretty dang tasty! Friendly service and quiet... winning combo for breakfast. Don't forget range free poached eggs too

What a wonderful breakfast! We stayed at the Quality Inn and were very pleasantly surprised to walk down the hall and find such delicious breakfast options so conveniently located. The Croque Monsieur eggs benedict was really good with bechamel instead of hollandaise, we also had their granola and breakfast sandwich. Very satisfying although I could do without the tater tots and they don't do lattes. But all in all good enough to tempt us back, the second day!

This is a great little restaurant, where the food is delicious and the atmosphere is relaxing. I've had several marvelous meals, including two fantastic breakfasts. Our waiter Bob was jovial and entertaining. This is a great spot in downtown Victoria.

Nothing special. Service is unapologetic when they bring you coffee in a used, lip stick covered cup or forget your side order of bangers. Better places in town to eat for the price. Food tastes good and the portions are decent.

I only write reviews if an eatery goes completely above and beyond my expectations, and wow, this place absolutely does! The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was cosy and classy, the coffee was great, and the service was spectacular. Best breakfast I've had in Victoria, and best breakfast I've had anywhere in a long time! Shout out to my waiter, who was like, the Jesus of cool. Highly recommend.

Bob the waiter took very good care of us. Offered stimulating conversation and old-fashioned politeness. He was very entertaining and had a great sense of humor. The food was delicious and the coffee very strong. The second day we needed food to-go in a hurry and he made sure we got our food in a timely manner.

Update: Argyle Attic has a really nice weekend brunch offering. It's not normally crazy busy and has a super chill vibe. My standard breakfast was excellent and our service was top notch. My coffee was refilled every time it was looking low.Great place for a drink and some small bites after work on a Friday night. Good whiskeys, decent beers and a creative cocktail list. I really enjoyed the Naramata Negroni I had last night.

10/26/19: This place is a nice pocket to chill in. Connected to Smith Bar it's quieter and more intimate. The grilled cheese, Attic burger, and classic poutine are spot on comfort food. Bartender was nice and attentive even working the entire upstairs solo.
