I’ve walked by this place a number of times. Decided to go in this time. A charming tiny diner. Staff were friendly and food arrived quickly. Place was moderately busy with their regulars. I ordered the vegetarian Benny my friend had the Avalon Skillet. Very tasty and my friend enjoyed his meal also. It was hot, no A/C but a free flowing breeze through the open door.

I love me a little hole in the wall breakfast spot. Food was great and cake out fast, my eggs were perfectly soft poached and the hollandaise sauce with my Benny was super flavourful. The only bummer was the washroom wasn't super well equipped for a diaper change for my niece but we made it work! Definitely check it out.
Eating here feels like home! The pancake breakfast and the millennial are my go-tos, and I love their homemade oaten toast, hearty and healthy.

It has been a long time since I had a meal here, and I was really impressed! There is a great upbeat atmosphere starting with Ricki the owner, and the friendly waitress. It was a Sunday and the place was packed. I am vegetarian and they understood when I asked for something not cooked on the meat grill, and they gave me a very appetizing lunch. I'll be back!!

This is one of the best breakfast places in all of Victoria. The pancakes were the best I have ever had, anywhere in the city. People should skip the long lines at other places and go to Avalon. The service was great and so were the prices. They are highly recommended.
