First time visit on a friend's recommendation. Really awesome and authentic tasting food. Even the vegetarian dishes were great. Highly recommend a visit even if you do a takeout The staff is very helpful and attentive as well. The only short coming is small space as compared to the demand for their food, but it does make the place cozier if you are with your families

This is a must go to place for Mexican food that is not the usual Mexican fair. The Birra is fantastic, tacos de pastor a hit as well. Very Busy little place in a front of a grocery store, parking can be a challenge but worth the effort. Prices are very reasonable. Seating is limited so maybe plan on picking up and going somewhere along the gorge to enjoy your meal.

What an absolute gem. Its location may raise an eyebrow- but the food is probably the best Mexican I’ve ever eaten. Victoria has a fair few decent restaurants - but Ay Mi really steps it up. I actually can’t wait to visit again! The food had so much flavour, ingredients were fresh, service was fast - seriously check it out.
Also: default to the Quesabirrias- the cheese on the outside really elevates the whole thing
10/10 food. I’ve thought Victoria has needed good Mexican food for a long time, and HERE IT IS. Everything was as good as the next. Can’t recommend it enough.

If you have not stopped by Ay Mi Mexico on Craigflower Road yet, you are seriously missing out. Tucked inside a convenience store, this hidden gem delivers some of the most authentic and flavorful Mexican food I have ever had.
Their birria is hands down the best I have tasted. Rich, tender, perfectly seasoned, and packed with deep, slow cooked flavor. Every bite is juicy, savory, and unforgettable. The tacos are loaded and fresh, the tortas are hearty and satisfying, and the sopes are layered with bold, vibrant flavors that hit every single time. The quality is consistent and you can tell they take pride in what they serve. It tastes homemade and thoughtfully prepared every time.
On top of that, the customer service is incredible. They truly treat you like family. Warm, welcoming, and genuine every time.

Beloved by locals, don’t miss it. Super yummy. There is some seating too so you can stay to enjoy your food $22 for three great quality tacos, it makes a fine lunch.
