They had no Sushi but had other stuff to eat was very dark just not like they use to be
There is NO SUSHI here. Not a sushi restaurant as advertised. The “All you can eat” is hot items only and many tasted from frozen. Service was okay at the beginning but then we had a hard time ordering again and at the price of $30pp we were very underwhelmed.
Apparently, no sushi chef today. Tried the udon noodles w chicken and a bento box w chichen. Was underwhelmed - large pieces of chicken without much taste and dry. Service was good but bought Ramen rather than upon noodles. Spring rolls were as expected.
Really nice people. Good service. We had the chicken teriyaki donburi. Good portion of chicken but it was on the dry side. Two pieces of broccoli with it, and no other veggies or onions. Agadashi tofu was plentiful but a touch oily. Good miso and tea. If you loved this as a bustling sushi restaurant, I do not think this is for you anymore. Would go for a quick lunch again but not a supper.
The food was really bad and expensive. The meat was really bad and tasted like plastic. Would not recommend
This place no longer serves sushi. It feels like a restaurant that’s ready to close down. It’s empty, the food quality is barely acceptable, and the menu is boring.
Alright lets get the important first out, they don't serve sushi, so if you're going for sushi....they don't have that as of April 2025.
So I went with a group of friends because we get together to go to random restaurants once every month or two. I got the hibachi steak and to be honest it wasn't that great BUT the all you can eat was a great deal. It's not like a buffet table where you pick your food, the food is made to order after you choose the all you can eat menu. It was only two people I saw and Im almost certain the older fellow was serving and cooking.
So I kinda felt bad and decided to come again sometime later to buy take out, since I was in the downtown area, and that's where I found true value. The bento box was $12.95 or $15.65 after tax and 15%tip. The food weighed 1KG (with miso soup) and the take out came in a 22cmx22cmX4cm (Width x Length x Height) box. The photo doesn't do it justice because the lighting was poor and I wasn't going to post this publicly and just to my friends (also I think AI filter made the carrots look red?). The food was good and given miso sauce for rice/meat and a vinaigrette for the vegetables. But again I can't stress it enough, the value proposition is crazy, thats like a big mac meal (with vegetables, fruits, and miso soup instead of fries and drink) or a food court order from bay center with 1/3 less food and no variety (no salad or soup).
Also bonus because I came in with my own drink (I was hanging with a group of friends and they went food court, I just got drink) and was just ordering take out so I was ok with waiting by door but was seated at the sushi bar and served hot tea and another fortune cookie while I wait.
Again picture was taken with bad lighting and I took a few bites out of the rice and finished miso soup while it was still hot.
Been going to Azuma for many years and it always hits the spot. The prices are just so great, the bento boxes are the best and really filling, and the service has always been good! Love the chicken Katsu and of course the rice and sesame sauce! I love sesame sauce and Azuma does it the best, better than even the high end spots in the city. Highly recommend for lunch. The kind man who I usually get as a server is so friendly and gives quick and fast service!
I hate to be negative but a terrible experience here. The all you can eat had bad food, long wait times and small portions. They also don't have sushi at Azuma Sushi...
Not sure how you can call yourself azuma sushi but not actually serve sushi because of it being “slow”
Very unfortunate compared to how it was a couple of years ago

Food was delicious. Only 1 server working so the service was a bit slow, but he was nice and did his best.
We went there today to eat all you can eat sushi. Price seemed very reasonable so we went. Only one person serving the whole restaurant and no sushi. Not a piece of fish to be seen, no sushi bar, nothing- not even cooked fish. We were told this is the slow time of year so no fish.
So we left. Not impressed - should at least say this in their website.
$30 all you can eat...great!
Has gone downhill. Fine but nothing special.
This place should get inspected
