Place had very selective service. For some people they seemed attentive, but for others they seem to be disinterested. I had ordered 20 minutes before another person that ordered the same thing, but they received their food before (it was literally the same dish), the difference was that we were POC and they weren't, so it seemed a bit racist. We also had to ask for water 2 times when they were just giving water for other "looking richer" costumers without them even asking. It had all the weird atmosphere of a place that did not want you there if you weren't the kind of customer they want to have. Also you can't really call a food "authentic thai cuisine" when there's literally nobody that looks remotely Thai working in the place. Won't come back even though the food was actually pretty good, there are other more receptive (and tastier) thai restaurants in Victoria, you all should go to those and save your time from going here.

Our family friend highly recommended Baan! The sweetest staff and food was as good as it gets. Our server Autumn was hilarious, hard working and very knowledgeable.We shared a Tom Kha Gai to start which was great after a long rainy day. I had Pad See Ew w/ beef and Pap’s had Pad Thai w/ Humboldt squid. We each got a side of peanut sauce which was great to add on here and there. Both dishes were so good Pad see ew with beef is an absolute must if it’s your first time. Highly recommend!

This place is our go to place for delish soup! Everything else is tasty af but the tom kha soup I would cry if they stopped serving it! It's very allergy friendly there, and the servers are very kind. I just left with a happy belly for sure !!

My husband took me out for dinner last night to Baan Thai,The food was absolutely delicious!We had the drunken chicken fried rice and the drunken chicken noodles along with the larb (minced chicken with a variety of flavours)So so yummy! Absolutely recommend.The atmosphere is very welcoming and it is perfect for a date night.Thai food is my favourite cuisine and Baan Thai did a spectacular job!
