Nestled in a hotel, it would have been easy to miss walking by but the service and food was amazing.The team behind the restaurant is super friendly and accommodating. Back home and I’m still thinking about this mushroom pasta they have on their lunch menu. 10/10

Visited on a Friday night with my wife and two kids. Although there was no kids menu, our awesome server asked the chef to whip up some gourmet chicken finger and grilled cheese (at a very respectable price). The wife and I enjoyed some great cocktails. Awesome experience!! We’d definitely return. PS - I hope they keep their beer prices. $7.50 for an 18oz beer is reasonable for a more upscale experience.

We wanted a very light dinner away from the bustle of Fisherman’s Wharf and Bar 500 was the perfect find. Situated in a quiet residential area, it’s a smartly presented restaurant/bar with a good menu. I had prawns in garlic and they were the juiciest prawns I’ve had for a very long time.Service was excellent and very friendly. I’d unhesitatingly recommend Bar 500.

Did not try the food, just had drinks while waiting for our transporation, but it was ok just to take a beer outside and the terrace was fabolous. Price for a beer was very cheap and they had excellent hazy IPA on tap.

I got super sick after eating there last weekend. Would appreciate to be contacted by management for a refund. The minimum, after I spending 6 miserable days and counting battling fever and aches. Please tell your male clerk who was working the weekend brunch shift to not scratch his face while he puts away the "clean" cluttery. That is not food safe! And for him to be gentle and not make so much noise, throwing them in the bins. He is not at his home.

LOVE going to the Bar 500 for jazz nights. Its a cozy atmosphere and not too crowded. The menu is small and the food is delicious. Our only request/recommendation is to add a few monthly dining features to change things up a bit. We would come more often then. All in All, a GREAT venue.

Bar 500 is a lounge on the ground floor of a hotel. They have a small dining area with a bar, and a small menu for food and drinks. We came for dinner and had:- Arugula Pear Salad - Yum, great pairing of flavors and refreshing. - Scallop Pasta - This dish was AMAZING! We couldn't get enough. - Lamb Rack - Was just ok; it was a bit dry. - Beet It martini - The Empress gin they just was very present in the drink and went down smooth. I liked it.Overall, delicious food. Apparently if you are staying at the hotel, you get a discount. The service was on the slow side though so don't be in a rush when you come.
