Excellent little gem of a wine bar. Highly recommend the fried olives and the beef tartare, but our entire meal did not disappoint. We will be back and I hope this little place gets the kudos it deserves. Thank you!

This small restaurant is tucked into Trounce Alley and provides covered outdoor heated seating as well as indoor tables and a bar. We tried two tapas--one was a seafood medley; the other was garlic prawns. Both were lightly breaded and tasty. Prawns were definitely garlicky, but that was fine with us! Service was leisurely, but pleasant. The menu is extensive, including pizza and vegetarian dishes.

Nice array of tapas and related dishes. I enjoyed a spicy soup (not really very spicy but quite tasty anyway) and friends enjoyed more traditional tapas. Lovely friendly service and restaurant had a nice buzz...popular with folks who work in the area. Access is a bit tricky because Trounce Alley is as it is named...an alley. But you can get parking at the HBC building not far away. Nice experience in downtown Victoria

Prices and portions are incredible considering how great everything is. Wine list is tons of fun with 2oz options if you want to build your own pairing or flight. Vermouth forward beverage program is tight. This is best value in town territory.

Super spot on a lovely side street, was able to sit outside under the heater in late sept. potates bravas (different and nice), chirozo v good, breads delicious. Wine very good and all well priced id take the pizza's off the menu, no need when such a good selection is available.

WOW, this place was Great!! The vibe was alive and hopping, the service was stellar, and the food?? soooooooooo good, and a few things I've never seen a menu before, such as Sardine Toast. We liked it so much we ordered a second helping. I love the location, this would be prime people watching at lunch time. We'll definitely go back.

Friendly, traditional restaurant with a good atmosphere. Friendly service. Interesting but not gourmet dishes.

Our lovely Canadian friends brought us to this delicious restaurant!! Loved the cocktails and we shared some very delicious plates!! Ambience was great and the staff were friendly and helpful! This restaurant is down a side street and was very busy!! Book ahead! Highly recommend!!

Wow! Fantastic! I’ve been coming here for over two decades. They have since updated the menu again. I would suggest the Tapas for Two platter. My family and I shared the platter. While it’s for ‘two’, three of us left full and happy. The food was tasty, fresh, and unique. I don’t think it’s possible to find this kind of good, filling, and tasty food in most places. Between the grilled eggplant and grilled chorizo, we couldn’t decide what dish we liked the most on the platter. This is a definite friends/older family (not that kid friendly)/business/first date place.

Food was just okay. My husband and I ordered four dishes recommended by the server, all of which were just good. Nice atmosphere, decent wine selection which was reasonably priced. Good service.

What a hidden gem! A tiny restaurant with small plates and very good wine. The menu changes weekly and every bite is delicious. The service is genuinely kind and attentive. I hope more people discover this great little spot! It’s tucked in beside the Tapa Bar, and a quaint little clothing store. It’s easy to miss so keep your eyes open for it.

Thursday night drop in. We hadn’t been here in a while but had a pretty decent night. The Tapas are fine but seems a little pricey. I suppose we have to go back a few more times to learn the menu? Service was fine, meals were okay.

Has been a long time fav, not anymore! Great milieu, awesome staff. Food not as good as it had been for years. Things used to be cooked in garlic, & very flavourful; this visit seemed food was prepared very plain with fresh garlic sprinkled on top. Potatoes boring, chicken wings were swimming in a broth. Garlic prawns just okay. Our friends felt the mussels were okay. Very embarrassing as I had raved about The Tapa bar & convinced them to eat here. Highly unlikely we'd return or recommend anymore.
