Everything was wonderful. The atmosphere was great. Food was excellent. Service was a little disappointed. I feel for the new girl she was training.

The Bard and banker used to have great food. Everything was prepackaged and bland. Chowder came from a mix was cold and nasty. the bangers and mash were ok besides the instant mash. We also had the “roast chicken” it's a grilled chicken breast. Place to go if you like live music and a pint, vibe is good service was poor. Waitress was no where to be found, Except to pay. Who ever took over the Bard needs to do better. It's a great spot with crappy food.

We loved our waitress and the humous was delicious. T We found the clam chowder to have a really strong crab flavor. Much stronger than Ive encountered before with chowder. To the contrary, the fettuccine alfredo was almost tasteless. Go figure.

Fun atmosphere. The menu was ok no big surprises. Noise level was over the top, but guessing that was because of the World Series game. The service was excellent and even though we showed up 50 minutes early for our reservation they were able to set us almost immediately.

We travelled from vancouver and booked this restaurant because of live music which is stated on there website , when we arrived there was no live music. instead showing a baseball game.. Very disappointed, they could have had baseball in the background and still had live music

The worst turkey dinner we have ever experienced, it was served in a bowl. The turkey was all fatty, the carrots were the mini bag carrots and then steamed. We complained that the food was bad , and even though the waitress heard us complain and she could see the plates were not empty but nothing was said or done. We ordered pumpkin pie to see how that was and it was still frozen ! We immediately asked for the bill but it never came till 20 minutes later even though were standing with our jackets on We will never return to this place !! If you can't serve a good turkey dinner then don't bother trying, stick to your usual menu!!!

We were very impressed with the level of service on a very busy Thanksgiving weekend. Service was exceedingly prompt and staff were incredibly friendly.

New menu is not good!
Hamburger has processed cheese
Breaded chicken wings were way too soupy with too much mush breeding and sauce
Pork belly was very fatty and not crispy

Lovely dining experience! We came from the Blackball Ferry and spotted the outdoor seating area while strolling downtown. We came at an off time between lunch / dinner and didn’t need to wait.

Our server was sweet and checked in on us every so often.

My husband and I shared a dozen oysters, the Bard salad, and the spiced honey fried chicken sandwich - all of which were excellent! We enjoyed the drinks as well. The bar inside the main restaurant looked phenomenal and made us want to make a return visit in the future.

Food and service were both 5 star. Went on a Saturday night, glad we reserved in advance as it was packed.

Had the fish and chips here and they were excellent. The batter was light and crispy, and the portions were generous. I ordered the two-piece but probably could have managed with just one—definitely not leaving hungry. The staff were super friendly and made the experience even better. Great spot, highly recommend.
