Great spot for a quick coffee, slice of pizza or a snack. But please bring back the Kleinberg Bar!
Full of flies flying around pizza stand..yuck!! Asking an old lady who worked there today about what type of wrap they had since there was no label. She looked at me and complained “are you really blind or pretending to be? Don’t you see the label?” I answered politely “no there was no label” and she raised her voice saying “well if there’s no label then I don’t know. Please go somewhere else”…well, what can I say about this place? I have bean there and would love to never go there again
Love it
Friendly staff. Cheap food for campus!
Nope haven't "bean" there
Fun fact: They actually have the cheapest boil eggs in the campus!
Pretty disappointed in service, everybody seemed miserable. Rude customer service in general, don't think I'll return.
I studied at UVic for a year. Like most students, I need coffee, not just at the start of the day, but constantly. I'd spend a lot of time working in the SUB, needing pick-me-ups along the way. When I got my first coffee from Bean There, I was expecting it to be generic coffee. I was taken aback as to how good it was. I can honestly say it's the best coffee in all of Victoria. One of the things I was saddest to leave behind when I had to return to the UK was the coffee from Bean There.
The Student Union Building is across from the bus hub at the University of Victoria and this Building offers services like the post office, movie theatre, student clubs and cafes. Bean There is at one end of the building by (Felicita’s Pub) and offers coffees, iced beverages, baked goods and our favourite the soft serve yoghurt for just over $3. I haven’t eaten here but it’s counter food. My kid recommends the soft serve yoghurt because it's berry (rasp-, black-, straw-, blue-) cold goodness in a cup. Think soft frozen yoghurt dessert made with real berries!
Was good when there was the pizza and pop deal for $5.25, now it's not worth it cause I swear the pizza is literally just Ali Baba pizza from the day before they get for free or something.

Always nice to grab some day old pizza for a cheaper price. Nice casual atmosphere.
One of the cheaper places for coffee at the school, same as the university coffee for flavour.
Great place for students to get a quick coffee and snacks.
One of the better places for coffee and cheaper too!
Solid baked goods. Subpar coffee
