Warm and freshly made in a cold day are just delicious. The pistachio one was simply spectacular. I tried them first four years ago in Ottawa. I got the impression these were a lot smaller. Baby beaver tails. They shrunk in this time.

Beaver Tails is a must stop when you are in Victoria. We got there when they opened at 2 pm on a Friday. There was already a line when we got there, but it was not a long wait because the line moved quickly. This location is a counter grab-and-go place with only two small tables sitting on the sidewalk out front.

There are so many great looking options! We got the BrWOWnie Beaver Tail with Choco-Hazelnut Spread and Brownie and White Choco-Chunks. Wow is right! The pastry was light and crispy around the edges. The choco-hazelnut spread tasted great and there was a generous amount of brownie and white chocolate chunks. We really enjoyed sharing it! We saw people getting the poutine and beaver dog and it all looked great. If we didn’t already have dinner plans, we would have just got more food here.

If you are in Victoria, I highly recommend that you stop at Beaver Tails. Either for a quick tasty sweet snack or a grab-and-go meal, you can’t go wrong at Beaver Tails!

Very nice staff. We loved the maple beavertail and the traditional poutine. We debated getting more of these!

I came here two years ago and my kids loved it. Now the sizes are significantly smaller and more expensive. It’s really expensive for a piece of flat bread with a a few toppings.
It’s a grab and go kind of place because they only have two small tables on the sidewalk.

Fast service and it has to be. A line forms as soon as the door opens. It's a "hole in the wall" style place. Two tiny street tables, otherwise get your beavertail and go

Cashier was so aggressive to everyone in our group. Definitely not the experience we were expecting from a vendor in tourist place.

Just a few words: You have to try it.
Love everything they have in this place.
I think it's the best poutine you can have.

Our first experience of poutine and beavertails. Enjoyed it! Pistachio beavertail is especially good, hazelnut one can't go wrong either.

I learned two things coming here on my search for some local poutine: 1) this place is a Canadian chain and 2) the name is related to a well known Canadian pastry. During my short time in Victoria I wanted to get some cheap and tasty poutine. This was the closest place found so we walked over. A number of locals were buying beavertails covered in all sorts of sweets, but we weren't too hungry so we ordered a standard poutine and beavertail. There were a few tables right outside, however we brought this back to the hotel. The plain beavertail was coated in cinnamon sugar and reminded us of a large flat churro. Poutine was so good! Melted gooey cheese curds and gravy covered a large amount of fries. You can also get meat, but found the simple poutine satisfies the craving.

Heard about Beavertails online so when my cruise stopped in Victoria for a few hours my goal was to find the closest one to the drop off and find a beavertail. These were delicious, 10/10 definitely recommend!
