Our 1st 'date' was here, so we come back every year around our anniversary. I tried the black bean and lentil quesadilla while my gf had the fish and chips. Our meals were served quickly and piping hot - mine was nicely presented and quite enjoyable. Top notch viewing location.

I think the tostada lacked a bit of seasoning, and the clam chowder was alright.

Overall, the Breakwater has a good location but our visits there have been mixed in just about every way. The food can be quite good, I enjoyed there vegetarian chili bowl and have had burgers that were nice and had decent fries. For a while they had an outdoor patio, but it wasn't well serviced and it got taken down. It might have been a staffing issue at the time, but we were once there and the sole server spent all her time talking with a few folks who appeared to be daily/weekly patrons and virtually none of her time asking if our food was ok or if we wanted more beer. Sadly, more of a miss than a hit.
Vegetarian options: The few times I have gone, there has always been at least one vegetarian option. I favored the vegetarian chili. A problem can occur when they run out of the limited batch of what they have made if you are later in the day.
Parking: There is parking available but it can be filled by the local scuba diving club or others. There are paid lots very close.
Wheelchair accessibility: They have a walkway and a ramp.

So disappointed that as business, you do not answer your phone. Real businesses have phones for a reason? To answer?
I had some questions that would have saved me my time coming down .But unfortunately, you don't answer the phone, you don't get a customer that way.
Do better. It's disappointing to not get an answer on the phone when you don't answer!!!!
Do better. Lost a customer before you even had one.
I ordered the Ramen with chicken miso soup. Hardly any broth to call it a soup. Flavorless. Vegies, chicken and noodles were cold. The only saving grace was the lovely staff and of course the oceanfront view.

We went to visit Victoria and they recommended this place to us. The food was not the best, the nachos with cheese were all stuck together and it was very difficult to pick them up. The chicken wings seemed to have been warmed up from the freezer and the quality was not very good. The staff was very nice

It was ok. This was our first visit, we are locals and this place is normally full of tourists being right where the cruise ships dock.
The food was good but portions are really small for the price. We had a variety of food, sandwiches, tacos and salads. All small portions, perhaps because it was lunch hour.
Service was good and prompt. The coffee is a skip in my opinion, it was on the burnt side. Beer there is a small selection to choose from.
Overall it was ok.

It must have been an off morning. When I walked in the door clearly no one was in charge and it showed. The chef in the back made decent food but the tacos were cold and I ordered a breakfast bowl thinking it would be classic. It showed up with a couple eggs poached perfectly soft, on a pile of tater tot’s that was good. Next to it was was salad, but unfortunately all the dressing was at the bottom. Never a had a salad in a breakfast bowl before! I would have enjoyed some ketchup with my tots but service never returned to check on us. I had to get up to get my own spoon to stir my tea. Over all this embarrassing. Be better.

Service can be so-so or excellent, you never know, but the food is usually good. With the cruise boat passengers stopping there, the place can be quickly crowded and it can be hard to listen to one another... Why don't they open the first floor anymore? It is a mystery!

Vegetarian options: I ordered yam fries, over half hour the waitress asked my if I got my order I said no and I don’t want it. If you do t charge me then I will take it as take out. She said I will check and came and said with disrespect DO YOU WAATED I said want what she said the fries, and she placed it with disrespect on my friend table and left. I was disappointed and upset, didn’t eat it and left

A quick run out in Victoria and a few minutes' walk leads to this interesting place. First time trying poutine, and it was delicious.
