Had a smoked meat sandwich, meat was good but not the best I’ve had. Best smoked meat sandwich I had was in Montreal Canada. Best hot pastrami ever!!! It’s the kind of the place you never forget except the name.

Portions are very small especially for the price. Got a tiny 5 bite sandwich on miniature bread slices with NO cheese & NO Side and it was nearly $18. Was also very subpar. I was shocked and thought it would have at least came with a side for that price

Stopped in for a quick lunch while doing some shopping, while attending a conference in Victoria and was very pleasantly surprised by the amazing lunch I had. I opted for the lunch special, a Montreal Smoked Meat sandwich on local rye bread. The sandwich was amazing. The rye bread was served warm, was fresh and soft and had the correct level of "chew" to the break. I opted for the grainy mustard and the sandwich included a very healthy portion of Montreal smoked meat. The sandwich was served with a side of coleslaw, which was also excellent and a serving of potato chips. A simple lunch, but the quality of the sandwich and sides were amazing. The owner was friendly and engaging. When shopping in downtown Victoria, the Broughton Street Deli is an amazing option for a nice lunch!
