Pizza dough on my pizza slice was perfect, atmosphere was very cool, but counter staff were SO RUDE. It’s got potential but without better customer service, I’m not a fan.

Came here for some pizza. It was good and the price for the slice was fair! $6 something paid $6.75 after a small tip. They had gluten free or regular crust to choose from. Was tasty! They heated it up for me as well and staff was nice and friendly.
I got my pizza to go and it was wrapped up. If you dine in they give you a plate

One of the best cinnamon buns in Victoria designed to be enjoyed outside in the sunshine ☀️ on Cook Street.

Emma was most efficient, courteous, friendly. Was a busy morning for her, everything went so smooth. No request was too much for her. Lucky to have a employee like her.
Enjoyed our light breakfast!

Cannot recommend this bakery for cakes. I’ve lived nearby for years and have ordered for many special occasions but the last two times the quality has been terrible. Children could decorate a cake with more professionalism than the cake we received this weekend, and since the order was an hour late there was no time to fix it. Very disappointing.

I'm new to Victoria and this place was the first bakery downtown I tried

It was amazing. I highly recommend. The ladies that work here are hilarious and kind

Made me feel very welcome to the city and I'll definitely comeback

The way they treat their staff is abhorrent, especially in this day and age where the economy is insane. Shame on you.

Bubby Rose's Bakery & Cafe on Cook Street is a delightful gem for anyone seeking house-baked sweet and savoury treats. This cozy bakery has a warm, welcoming vibe that instantly makes you feel at home. The display case is always filled with a delicious variety of baked goods, including plenty of gluten-free options, which is a big plus for those with dietary restrictions. Their flaky pastries, decadent cakes, and hearty sandwiches are a must-try; everything is crafted with care and quality ingredients.

Located at 1022 Cook St, Bubby Rose’s can get quite busy, especially during peak hours, but the friendly staff always handle the rush with a smile. Inside, there's a relaxed charm, with seating both indoors and outdoors—perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee alongside a freshly baked treat.

As for parking, you’ll find street parking nearby, but it can be limited, especially during busy times, so be prepared to walk a short distance if needed. If you're in the Cook Street Village area, Bubby Rose’s Bakery & Cafe is a must-visit for its homey atmosphere, exceptional baked goods, and friendly service.

A very beautiful, somewhat retro café with Formica tables. It's a cafe/bakery and the vast majority of products are made on site. If you want to escape downtown Victoria, Bubby Rose's Bakery is a great escape.

Very cute, friendly and funny staff, great food. everything was flavorful and well made. inside the building is a little cramped, but it's clean and there are a lot of options. everything is very fresh, which is always nice!!

Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options, which were very tasty too!

Dietary restrictions: Plenty of gluten free, and all kinds of non-dairy milk for coffee/lattes.

Don’t waste your time or ruin your appetite. While the bread might be made fresh every day, the treats are not. Too sweet and somewhat stale. This is a nice coffee shop or lunch place, but go to a real bakery for the good stuff. Fry’s, Wildfire or Patisserie Daniel.

Service was rude but the cookie was good.
The barista was on instagram and texting at the counter while waiting for a drink to be made, personally I would've helped the person standing in line. Once I was helped, the paper bag my cookie was in was thrown across the counter at me. The cookie tasted delicious but the service made me feel unwelcome and I don't think I'll be going back. Sucks since I work so close, thought it would be great for lunches etc.
