Great breakfast sandwich but busy for a weekday so a bit chaotic when it came to service

Popped in here for a coffee and treat and left with two coffees and two muffins. Coffee was terrible to the point that we took one sip and left the rest. The muffins were stale and also unfinished. The place itself was dirty, coffee grounds all over the counter by the espresso machine, floor unswept, and the bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. There were pails of I don’t know what in the bathroom that were filthy on the top. It was however funny to see to hand written notices in the bathroom telling customers to clean up if they leave a mess!!
I think Bubby Rose might want to take note of her own sign.

Cosy cafe bakery in charming village/ neighbourhood . Good selection of baked goods and hot beverages. Our regular stop for a coffee break when in this area. Vegan options and choices for those on restricted diets, wheelchair and stroller accessible but limited space inside, street parking only but we usually walk. Cook St village is a great place for browsing local independent shops.

Mothers with babies are unwelcome! In fact, the whole establishment was discriminatory towards people with families.

After eating lunch there, I was told by staff not to come back with my 6 month old baby who was in a stroller. My baby needed to be changed, yet there was no change table in the washroom, so I asked if I could change him on a little bench and they said no. I asked if they were asking me to leave with a baby that has a soiled diaper and they said yes I should go and not come back. As a paying customer, I found it very rude to be told not to come back given the circumstances. All I was trying to do was make my child more comfortable.

I also noticed that the door doesn’t have a wheelchair accessibility button so it’s hard to get inside with a stroller. Some places that don’t have this will just come and help with the door if needed, but no such help was offered. They obviously don’t like people who have wheelchairs either.

Bad experience. The latte is foamy and the time to walk to the car the latte was 1/2 the size. The blonde lady at the station wouldn’t serve me another one…

I'd just like to thank Bubby's server for pointing out yesterday how stupid I was to expect the 12oz latte that I paid for, when actually what I should be grateful to receive was the 6oz latte they served me. It was also nice to be told that the fact I'd received a full 12oz cup the day before must have been a figment of my imagination. I feel educated......never to visit this place again 😁

I came here to compliment the young people working at this location. I've been a regular over the past few weeks and it's been a delight to see the way they interact with customers, especially seniors in our community who might be living alone and are in need of some healthy, wholesome interactions. They know their names, their orders and always take the time to build banter with them. There is a loneliness epidemic in our world; many of us still struggle to recover from the effects of the lockdowns on our mental health and sense of safety in the world. People like the staff of this location are contributing positively to a world that needs them greatly. I sincerely hope the management of Bubby Rose considers what an asset these young folks are to the success of a coffee shop becoming a beloved must-visit staple in the village–and that their pay reflects the value of these ineffable skills.

We had delicious iced, oat-milk lattes and pastries. My brownie was decadent, but not cloyingly sweet. Perfect dark, rich chocolate taste and texture. My husband loved his date bar, too. Great afternoon break! Thank you!
