I’ve had several uncomfortable experiences at this Burger King location over the past few months, but tonight was concerning enough that I feel it’s important to share. When I picked up my order, the staff seemed to be watching me unusually closely, and I clearly heard one of them whisper something that sounded like “don’t eat it.” This immediately put me on edge. When I stepped outside and checked my burger, the bottom of the bun had visible mould and the taste was off. I threw it out right away and bought packaged food elsewhere. On a few separate visits in the past, I’ve also heard staff making throat-clearing noises and comments from the kitchen area that made me uneasy about food handling practices. While some of the staff have been friendly, these repeated issues have made me lose confidence in the food safety at this location. I hope management takes this seriously and addresses the sanitation and professionalism concerns. For now, I personally no longer feel comfortable eating here.

I'm pretty annoyed this is the 4th time they've gotten things wrong they gave us pies instead of toys for my son's king kids meal charged us for two ended up not caring and buying both because I think it would have been too hard for them to understand my issue now my kid doesn't have a toy and it was sonic thats why I got the kids meal. The meal was all wrong they over charged us and they didn't give a toy.......

Will still go again because of the cheese sticks but my gawd sorry just spent the last 20 minutes listening to a screaming child because they didn't give him his toy.

This location quality is going downhill. Poutine with a teaspoon of cheese, tomatoes slices still green but at least I had a big handful of pickles in my burger.

the lady in drive thru was super friendly and tried hard to understand my order which she ultimately still got my order wrong :(, please have fluent English speaking workers in drive thru other than that super friendly

To the Burger King Corporate Team,

On November 14, 2025, at approximately 2:00 AM, I placed a pickup order through UberEats at your Burger King location at 1681 Old Island Hwy, Victoria, BC (V9B 1H9). What followed was one of the most unprofessional and unacceptable customer service experiences I have ever encountered.

After my food was marked as ready, I attempted to call the store to confirm whether I could pick up my order at the window or if I needed to go inside. The phone number listed for the store was not in service. I then proceeded to the drive-thru, but received no response whatsoever, even after waiting and speaking loudly.

With no other option, I went to the main door and knocked repeatedly for nearly 15 minutes. The employee inside clearly saw me but chose to ignore me entirely.

Still unable to pick up my order, I contacted UberEats support. While I was again at the drive-thru window explaining the situation to the support agent, the employee suddenly came out yelling, saying: “What’s your problem bro? Can’t you read the sign?”

Despite his aggression and disrespect, I stayed calm, simply asked for my order, and prepared to leave. He then ended the interaction by telling me: “Don’t come here.”

This behavior is completely unacceptable for any business—let alone a global franchise.

I have several questions for your corporate team:
1. What exactly is the company’s mission and vision? Is it simply to open locations across from McDonald’s without any regard for operational standards?
2. Do you plan to run marketing campaigns claiming you’re better than McDonald’s when customers can’t even access their paid orders at your stores?
3. Do you sell franchises to anyone as long as they pay, regardless of whether they have any hospitality or management experience?
4. What screening procedures do you use when hiring employees? Because based on my experience, professionalism and customer respect clearly aren’t part of the criteria.
5. This location has a 3.4-star rating on Google. How aware are you of this? Have you ever reached out to the owner or manager regarding the consistently poor service?
6. Or does the company simply not care—as long as franchise fees keep coming in—regardless of whether stores are run by people who have no understanding of customer service or basic hospitality?

This experience was frustrating, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. As a customer, I expect far better from a brand of your size.

The food was terrible. My burger was dry and felt like sawdust. You can tell the people who work their are vegetarians, the meat is cooked awfully. Won't be going back
